That's a miss for me just on one or two specific counts:

Without the ability to deterministically block certain league content in all maps, elevating the chances of other content spawning, I'll wait for the next league. SSF Betrayal crafts will also be hard.

Now if Kirac sells (or gifts us) inexpensive magic idols to just cover the blocking nodes from the Atlas passive tree, always in stock for all variants - and if you've buffed map drop rates given we lose our chances for +1 tier Atlas nodes for progression - and if masters explicitly don't show up more regularly by default - I'm in. Bonus if he also sells inexpensive magic idols for each master, all always in stock (for Betrayal at least; say to a flat 25%-50% chance to encounter per map, randomly if you want some randomness).

(But really, I suspect I strongly prefer the atlas passive tree and cross my fingers PoE 2 receives this rather than a very randomised token-operated system alongside the low-impact mini passive trees.)

Edited slightly as I misread idols as consumable. I appreciate these could be drops, but would anticipate issues with drop rates being too low early, too high later, and overall consistency.

Removing one of the best systems in the game for a random slot machine which will end up as "get the best relic for 200 divines and stack it for max currency efficiency" in trade or "do content with a fraction of what the atlas tree would give you" in ssf.. sounds absolutely horrible!

In my opinion this should be a bonus system on top.
You could even go with the untradeable way like relics were back in the day, so people find something insane for, say, Legion, never did Legion and are interested in trying it out.
Very poor decision. This amount of randomization is no fun at all. Whoever thinks in the studio that less deterministic content is better, should be warned. You should at least make idols modifiable so we can sink some currency in it. Identifying it and dropping it back as it has no affix that I am interested is neither exciting nor fun.
POE1 LOGIN MOMENT
So basically putting precursors into POE1. People want to play POE 1 because POE 2 endgame is in a horrible state, not so they can test mechanics people already hate.

I like the idea of the system but removing an iconic system for that is very unsmart. This new 32 Slot Inventory should replace the ~130 Atlas Skill Points while also being more insane in juicing than ever before? I HAVE DOUBTS! Sounds to me like the " let's rebalance Scarabs" Mood. BTW - they are worse than before and this will also be worse I assume.


We change the ascendancies to new ones.
We change the atlas passive tree to a new system.
Be careful not to change "the fun" to "bullshit"

Why the fuck would you replace the Atlas Skill tree? something that works so great and is fun to progress through.

This looks dumb, it's stupid; its a STUPID idea.

Stop trying to reinvent the wheel by replacing the wheel with worse, and clunkier irritating RNG one-use item systems; we've allready had this before in the past, it's called Void/Watchstones lol.
Taking away the best part of PoE's endgame (our agency in doing what we want with it) has fully dampened my excitement for this event.

Please rethink the decision to remove the atlas tree for rng relics.

Replace scarabs or something but not the passive tree.
this will also fuck over map progression unless you massively buff early sustain.

Please I really want to look forward to this event but this change pretty much ruins it.

PS: also under no circumstances make this baseline outside of the event.
we don't want to trade deterministic player agency for a rng fiesta that just supports the richest players
