Auction House when?

Changing one's mind is a fundamental human trait. Insisting that something like AH (or similar) will never come just because of past statements is pure foolishness. People can change their opinions over time, so why should GGG’s past statements be treated as divine law, never to be altered? Stop hiding behind years-old negative remarks and start thinking critically. Any rational person with even a shred of common sense can see that this terrible system needs to change.

Auction Houses are very cool, very fun and make for a great downtime activity.
Plus, you made the game about buying gear, so lose the friction and make it smooth instead! Sell me an auction tab then if you need to justify the time spent for goodness sake! I'll but the 'Merchant' supporter pack ok? make with the AH! Console loot filter for POE2 Please!

Trading in this game is a horrible experience. Buying items is horrible, selling items is horrible. If they want this game to have a place in the future of ARPGs they need to replace their pathetic ‘whisper’ system with an instant-buyout one.

A decently designed auction house would be a substantial QoL improvement. The current system is a terrible time-waster. If you want something, you have to message dozens of non-responsive people. If you want to sell something, I've discovered that *they* can be unresponsive. Get whispered they want to buy, but they won't respond when you whisper back.
At no point, are these encounters community-builders. They've ranged from so anonymous and silent you couldn't pick the person out of a line-up six seconds later to kinda creepy, where the person comes to your hideout and won't say anything and won't trade. I'd absolutely love a functioning in-game AH or trading post or whatever you want to call it. One where you can purchase a "buy out" instantly or list something for bids, if that's an additional option people would like to see. Just something that doesn't require you to be on-line for the duration of the listing, something that auto-releases the item to the buyer and stores the funds for the seller for when they log back in. Pleeeeeease. Plsplspls. ^.^ |
