Dear GGG, Stop Trying to Make a Game For Everyone; Stick to your Core POE1 Customers
" He misread everything I said as well. He can't read or is unable to understand it. |

" Do you know what the word 'I think' mean? In the sentence 'I think PoE2 is infinitely better'. That's just like my opinion man. I never said it was the better game. I just said I think it's a better game. Are the americans on or somomething? It's absolutely mindboggling how few of you can do comprehensive reading. |

" Which is why they shouldn't cater to a small group that shrinks. The Hardcore can't sustain a game. And given that there are millions of ARPG players across the spectrum, catering to them by not copying the same mechanics that drove most of your players away from the first game is not a bad idea. " And that's why it lost half it's player base in about a WEEK. That's terrible! That should scare the pants off GGG! It won't because they're not paying attention. Nothing new. You simple don't cater only to the hardcore. That kills games, and a small studio like GGG can't afford that. Literally. " Not in danger? Then why did GGG decide to make a NEW game, and SAID in one of their many overhype videos that they wanted to make PoE2 easier for new players to get into? Because the old ones are not cutting it. They need more players to make more money to cover their paychecks. But here's the real issue, you're just angry that they're not catering to YOU anymore. Specifically. You have the hilariously unmitigated gall and ego to think that PoE is YOUR game, no one else's. That anyone trying to get in has to be equal to you, or else they're less than human and thus unworthy of getting in. This attitude has always been funny to me. How to explain. PoE 2 is a completely different game. All crafting will come with future updates and Leagues. It's very healthy that the game has done things differently compared to previous. You are just demanding too much from it in Early Access, but the developers have already delivered more than any player would've expected.
I've completed all content there is in PoE 2 but it's still fun and I just find myself playing it everyday. Moreover I see other people enjoying the game everyday. New people, old people - the community is there. I don't understand where the game is hard? I've not played souls-like for more than 5-10 hours, I suck at them. Path of Exile 2 doesn't try to be souls-like, it has different core mechanics which look like souls-like, but act differently. |

" Diablo 4 is still making money. In fact, it's doing REALLY well. What you and I think of the game is irrelevant. You would be a BAD businessman, with that silly attitude, you'd have been out of business within a month. Of COURSE more money = better game. A 'Good' game is one that lasts years and KEEPS MAKING MORE MONEY! And that's why GGG split PoE2 into it's own game. They NEED to make a GOOD game that makes MORE money. it's about them making a living, and catering to a small and shrinking group will not. I'm sorry you've realized GGG has never catered to you. This is not 'your' game, it's A game. |

" The issue is not the difficult. Diablo style ARPGs aren't, by nature. They don't require much skill either (hence why I find the git gud hardcore crowd so funny). The issue is that the game isn't sure what it wants to be. And there's a small subsection that just want it to be another PoE, when they already have PoE. In fact, there's more content there for them to do and will have for at least 5 years when PoE2 releases later this year in 1.0. It's mostly ego, they're angry that GGG is no longer catering to them and they think that PoE is abandoned (It's not, it'll be there for a long time). |

This post complains they are making the game for casuals only.
The next post complains they made the game for hard cores only. Takeaway: some people just like to complain. Feedback: give actual tangible feedback in the feedback forum… Screaming “mAkE tHe gAmE fOr mE, nOt THEM!!!!!!” isn’t very helpful. You started going down that path a little mentioning some specific game systems, but didn’t seem to expand on them more than “PoE1 good PoE2 bad”. Maybe next time try and share more specifics around that and you’ll be a net positive to the development of the game, rather than… whatever this is. |

" Here's the rub, I want PoE2 to figure out what it is. The campaign makes into a slow, methodical grind (Which is not a bad thing as long as the grind is rewarding) and then whiplashed into a blast your way through every mob, because if they touch you, you're starting a new map and you have lost hours of work usually by cutting your XP. They also have a lot of things they should have addressed, like certain defenses and how it'll affect player side (Armour, 15% buff of 0 doesn't help the Warrior. Worse, that buff actually boosted mobs to make the Warrior and ONLY the Warrior harder to level with. That's incompetence) but won't. In fact, GGG has a history of not understanding why players are not happy. Notice how they don't ever post in a Feedback thread except to warn people to be civil? |
