I agree with this interpretation. Obviously skill gems socketed in a meta gem will still trigger based on the meta gem's energy gain mechanics. However, the skill gem socketed in the meta gem can no longer gain energy from being triggered, meaning if you have are running cast on shock/freeze/crit, skills like comet that could shock/freeze/crit will longer generate energy from inflicting those ailments or critical striking.

I haven't played any of the cast-on-ailments or cast-on-crit builds but I assume this will hurt their sustaining trigger skills quite a bit. They'll have to rely entirely on other skills that initially begin the triggering of the socketed skills, to gain energy.

In related news, cast-on-minion death builds would be entirely unaffected by this change, since skills like comet that get socketed into cast-on-minion death were never gaining energy anyway.

so is this just a blanket fix because of some broken builds? Because I promise playing my chronomancer frostbolt->[cast of freeze]frostwall->[cast on crit]comet isnt anywhere close to these looper/autobomber builds that also use these skills.

Seems like not only that support gems like Impetus are dead? Could be misunderstanding this tho.


They mean that if for example you have comet on CoF. When comet triggers, it would also generate energy from being triggered.

And that broke some builds.

But yeah. Just a blanket fix and essentially is just another nerf to cold sorc. Reaching the point now where I just gave up. Easier to just go archmage, even as cold sorc.

But that is of course still untouched.

I'd rather have a bit of light radius here or there than fucking thorns and stun threshold in every piece of armor, or accuracy everywhere.
seems like you fix a lot of things that do actual finite amounts of damage and interact with the game mechanics but somehow ignore the placeholder intern-made river hag sonic the hedgehog mario bubble that script-instakills anyone inside of it on a 2sec timer and spawns in any random map for no reason.

Put that garbage in the honor trial and fire everyone involved.
This game is so easy to develop, most kids only play Sorc and Monk anyway.

Let's don't nerf it to shut them up for them to keep give us high player number.

at this moment. Let them sleep. I suppose they start their workday at 9 am, in 5 hours, and assuming they deploy at about noon thats another 3. So in about 8 hours or so.

Fixed a bug where Concoction Skills were considered Bow Skills and as a result could be affected by "increased damage with Bow Skills" modifiers on Quivers.


Can you make the mod on quivers apply to attack skills instead of exclusively bow skills? Concoctions don’t need to die for this bug.

What attacks other than bow skills and concoctions can even use quivers? Seems like a safe way to save everybody’s investment into these builds
