Compromised PoE Accounts: Stolen Items and Hacked Accounts - Discussion and Leads

another missing divine, I had one and disappeared, today another one, as soon I get a divine, it take some hours to disappear.

is this a bug or what, only divines is disappearing?

youtube says it all, lots of comments in videos about the this topic. It's not an isolated case, there is too many players facing the same issue.

Whats happening:
- streamer playing some random map
- within 3 min he getting hundred(s) messages about random item in his stash (not sure, is it item exist or not, and is this price correct or not)
- messages are absolute weird and confused at all (try read them: if its just joke from his viewers, so its diamond tier prank)
- attempt to contact buyers: *i am not buying the item, you wrote to me* (buyer\seller have different invisible messages???)
- *for fun* attempt to trade: streamer got crash on trade window
- nothing stolen cuz he back too fast and kepd divs in Alva

...Anyone wanna set any valiable item (let say, its automatic hack targeted by specific item pool) in trade tab for 99999d just for science and provide a report? xd

There are also reports of theft on the Russian-language forum, but people there are less active, and I also became a victim of fraudsters. The most interesting thing is that I don't have any programs installed. But as I understand it, I have 2 login options: 1) through the POE2 -launcher client and the second through steam, since I do not have authorization on mail and on steam, I think the user somehow picked up / took away / had access to my password? idk how to avoid this in the future, now before going to bed I hide things among the trash, as well as divines

It’s a bit strange, as my post wasn’t meant as feedback or a suggestion to improve the game. It was simply an inquiry asking if the account compromises are solely due to user-side error or if any issues might exist within the game or its tools.

Can't wait for GGG to come back from vacation to pretend like this never happened or blame a third party app even though you don't use them.

They don't even care to fix them sending coins you paid money for to the wrong account you think you're going to care about in game currency?
