Game is dropping like a stone
" Holy shit, exactly this! I talked about it on Reddit with few others. [Removed by Support] Although one could debate whether wow is not at its worst right now... But anyway Last edited by Drew_GGG#0000 on Dec 26, 2024, 7:48:07 AM

" GGG doesn't seem to understand that souls-like and loot progression don't mix well. Equip resists or a better weapon and suddenly the boss is super easy. Fail to do so and the boss is frustratingly hard. Souls-like only work with very flat progression. Even Elden Ring is only a soft souls-like, because you can just grind and overlevel (a reason why it's so popular). Biggest difference: In souls-like you only have to do a boss once and then never again. GGG seems to believe that killing the boss 100 times is fun. It's not. Look how all builds are trying to avoid having to do that. No one really wants such a stressful endgame. POE2 has been made by two teams who don't talk to each others. |

" Grab a Black Knight weapon and you obliterate the bosses in Dark Souls 1. Knowing how to properly upgrade and invest your stat points to do damage makes all the Souls titles 10 times easier. So the point is flat wrong. |

" Exactly. Elden Ring was by far the most casual friendly and 'least hardcore' of all souls games. You have co-op, you have summons which the elitists frown upon, you can overlevel or use some OP flask/incantation/skill/spell combo to nearly one shot certain bosses, there are stakes of marika near every major boss so insanely frustrating boss runbacks are gone forever (Screw Dark Souls 2 in this regard, I'm NEVER replaying that one ever), and 80% of bosses are optional for the main story. THAT's whey Elden Ring sold nearly 20 million copies worldwide. The DLC has a lot of very hard bosses and that's why it's steam reviews and ratingsa are nowehere near universally acclaimed compared to the base game. The majority of casual players don't like frustratingly, helplessly, over punishing difficulty. Causals are given the agency to HAVE FUN. The tryhards and elitists can still create difficulty for themselves by for example not using summons or playing NG++++ or attempting RL1 challenge runs etc. Every type of player is allowed to have fun in their own way, not like here where everyone is forced to suffer in the same way. PoE2 combat isn't hard, but a lot of endgame systems are currently felt by players as frustrating and over punishing. That's how you make your game more niche, not more mainstream. " I will never understand why people like you feel the need to go with so outrageous numbers that everyone can tell even without checking for the actual numbers that you are just talking shit... |

Here's the solution: QUIT THE GAME, GO AWAY, Shew.
|

" And that solution leads to a dead game, which I'm sure many people don't want to happen. |

" The game is lively without insects, no one likes mosquitoes. If you have reasonable issues with the game, speak it out loud to the feedback channel. Also, Poe2's player retention is higher than PoE1's best since 2018(Bestiary League). Last edited by Climet#7103 on Dec 26, 2024, 12:20:13 PM

" I've seen the same arguments and hostility at least 1000 times on battle.net during WoW's Legion, BFA, and early Shadowlands. Guess what, millions of players globally did quit, and WoW went from THE BIGGEST cash cow in the world of PC gaming to a shadow of its former self. Which is why I don't even respond to them. It's a waste of time. We're here to give feedback, politely, and we've done that. Now I'm back to the game to test how broken my new magic find build is. |

" You are as helpful to the game as a random server ping spike. Come on, you are helping no one. PoE2's performance(player retention) is already higher than most modern games, this includes PoE1 itself. If you really want to "help" then make a dedicated forum post, instead of pitchforking gibberish. Last edited by Climet#7103 on Dec 26, 2024, 9:27:14 AM
