Game is dropping like a stone

I love the game but after only getting to T7 maps I'm done with the game for now until they make some changes. There are a bunch of fundamental issues with endgame, but at the very least if they gave me 3 deaths on maps, 6 for Pinnacle bosses, and made some tweaks to Ascendancy trials, then that would be enough to pick it back up. Otherwise I'm done for now as its entirely too frustrating for the average player that isn't a masochist or meta no life gamer.

They are not the same.
You seem confused.

Also, you are comparing linear story driven games with a set ending to an open ended ARPG with 200+ hours of endgame and 12 different build archetypes for replayability.

You use the wrong metrics, compares apples to oranges, and fail to read graphs.
I'd either enlighten myself, or stop arguing the topic if I were you.

I am no more confused than you calling No Man's Sky "linear story driven games with a set ending"
But yeah, i am unbelievable wrong rounding month to 4 weeks, until we're speaking February, i'm admitting that.

What's wrong about using numbers of concurrent online players and it's dynamics? Isn't that's exactly what TS is talking about?

So if "my charts" are wrong show me the real ones with that critical decline in numbers of players. Or maybe explain how that data should be used, or what competitors i should choose to comparison.

Helldivers 2 ... the only recent MMO-lite that is comparable to a business/engagement model the poE2 has

and if you look at that you can see few things

1. after initial launch 2 weeks of rapid constant growth

2. after reaching peak 3 more weeks of retention where game constantly gets near peak numbers

3. then you have 6-ish weeks of slow decline

4. then and only then you get the crash

the thing is the Helldivers was plagued by simmilar "vision" where devs were constantly removing "fun" from the game to "make it challenging" which playerbase hated ... sounds familiar ? ...

when you compare that to PoE2 it hit the max in just 3 days then immediately started to decline despite being propped up by insane hypetrain from content creators and keeping in peak of top sellers on Steam the whole time - something that should mean GROWTH not decline

what we can see here is MMO-lite game behaving like singleplayer one which is BAD for what is supposed to be live service free to play financed by microtransactions - a model that requires constant stable playerbase at least until you reach a stage where you can regularly release content that will bring people back to seasons.

instead the game functions like one and done title that has so many issues the players that get burned on it now are unlikely to return to replay the same damn thing with little bit on top again and again - PoE1 has that, almost everyone HATES running through the campaign for 200th time but the endgame has enough content for people to suffer through that campaign slog to get to it

PoE2 doesnt have that if anything endgame is proving to be so bad its driving players away ...

Early Access, early access, early access, early access....

The amount of hyperbole in your posts is astonishing.

If you dislike it so much, stop playing and move on.

Well I paid 100 bucks supporting a game advertised to be built upon POE1, and had "fixed melee".
After playing four ascendancies in melee and found it all broken, boring and unfairly disadvantaged even worse than in POE1.

How about I stop playing, give it my feedback and then move on?

This forum DOES say "early access feedback".

If my feedback is so bad, how about contending with the arguments rather than engaging in hyperbole yourself, and then telling me what I should and should not do?

The problem is that in your whole thread you didn't write 1 sentence with constructive feedback and maybe a suggestion how to fix it.

Instead you "mimimi", flame around, insult people and call the devs "disrespectful" because they dared to take a vacation during the holidays.

As he said, if you hate the game so much simply move on.

How many hours did u play?...200?...That's 50 cent entertainment per hour.

You've beaten the game lil snowflake (Or the game you)...It's OK to sail to other harbors if a game doesen't suit you.

I tried to get into Elden Rings f.e. multiple times and couldn't get into it, even if it's the best game ever made for so many people. ;)

Why are you lying? OP has literally posted some really great feedback.

Here's an example:

Also what people are failing to mention with this whole "guys, the player count dropping is normal - it's x'mas people are obviously spending time with their families" bs is that most people will take time off for the ENTIRETY of the x'mas season. I lead a team of 6 at my job and every single one has taken time off from the 19th and will be out till around the start of the new year. I've had plenty of time to both sink hours into PoE 2 and spend tons of time with the family in Cabo.

Uh huh, but what's your point?

You're drinking tequila on vaca and want other people to work?

My point is that about 10 different people on this thread alone have looked at the dropping player count and said "guys, it's Christmas, obviously this will happen because they are spending time with family" when that couldn't be further from the case.

Most sane human beings take extended periods of time off during the Christmas season, some as much as two weeks but I'd say the average is a week.

And as such, most people will have time during this period to both enjoy gaming as well as spend time with family and friends.

Game lost about 80% playerbase since launch.
Kinda sad and feels like a lost opportunity.
Lets be real we all wanted poe2 to be IT, to be the game for years to come, to be the ARPG savior or whatnot.
Instead it seems like pump&dump, are you really telling me they spent 5 years on few campaign acts? Since the rest of the game is rerelease of poe1 just in a very garbage state.
Why does ranger look like ubisoft 2b?
Witch is giving me an anti boner on character selection too.
I dont know if its modernized or a tactic to sell skins, i wouldnt be surprised if its both.
