You can be right. But still.. That's very odd - for example that the armor is over-complicated in poe and need many layers and conversions of conversions and mages have more warrior themed system - which just is simplier by stacking one defensive layer - which should match more warrior theme to be tankier by "buffing muscled/hp and ton of armor instead of layers of protection. I feel like mage playing warrior.

End-game should be slower and remain on peace of campaing and use identity of path of exile 2 and not poe 1.
It creates a game which one part of community don't like campain but likes end-game and second which like campain but don't enjoying campain.
It's very bad and all of players will be tired by something. POE 1 should be poe 1 and poe 2 should stay as poe 2 in it's core. Where positioning is important, boss fights are meaningful.
Then reaching that power of being "god" should be accessible in 50-100 hours of playing END-game and not entering it. There's barely no diference when we start end-game and we spent 50 hours in it.
As we start end-game we are "god killers" which should be considered as spending much more time in end-game than just entering it.
Absolutely not, its actually too slow. The end game is the end game, if you want to be a slow, weak, dodge everything character than stick to the campaign. Slowing down the endgame even further (it feels bad as it is) will kill the game
it's to fast. It's not suppossed to be poe 1 and it's faster than poe 1 on end-game builds. I mean. We should be able to reach the "god killer" power - after killing gods not from killing crabs on maps. We are to early to powerful - and entire end-game is jus trivalized. And i see many players don't udnerstand it's not suppossed to be poe 1 - they are told it many times.
it will kill the game for poe 1 zoomers and diablo 4 zoomers and not the community who loved poe 2 for it's changed - for vision johnathan and chriss shared to us. Poe 1 players will stay in poe 2 and people who loved poe 2 core will have poe 2 and it's how it suppossed to be.
Im playing 10 years of poe, i have played every single aRPG, hns and im tired by not-meaningful and over-stimulating games.
also players who played diablo 2 for ages and titan quest transfered to poe 2. it's home for new people.
We want poe 2 to stick to it's vision and core.
I don't want to play most of the endgame. I want to fight the new bosses or bosses in general. Or play the mechanics I want. Not run around killing rare mobs to get to what I want to do. Making it slower, as it's already far slower than POE1, will only make me quit quicker.

Right i loved bosses tho. They should consider to make only boss maps - with bossess tuned to a tottall badass level. Like experiencing entering fresh league to wolf boss.

They can't possibly have low drop rates, have every boss be super hard while keeping those death penalties. People would burn out very fast playing with 100% focus all the time.

POE 2 loses it's identity/face on end-game.
Asked my friends and everyone are agree that campain feels better and everyone who loved the difficulty of early campain - they don't like end-game. And people who don't liked early campain and wanted to poe 2 to be more of poe 1 - they like end-game.
Yup this prety much sums it up.
I faceroll all endgame content with around 5 Divine investment and this rly shouldn't be the case, even in POE1. ^^
Had so much fun in campaign actually fighting bosses instead of 1-tap them...In maps sadly the 1-hit fiesta starts and the game becomes way to trivial.

they told it many times. POE 2 will be different a lot from poe 1 and being inspired by souls game while not being a souls game but staying in core in aRPG/hns genre. But lot slower and some part of min/maxing with fall into player skill and not on build.
Which failed. And the identity of poe 2 is campain then end-game is just copy of poe 1.
Poe2 does differ from poe in quite some ways, mainly its trying to be more accessible and has a skill tree that isnt as deep.
Gem and socket systems were completely changed as well.
The atlas is different as well as the campaign.
If you think poe2 was supposed to not be like poe at all, then i`m sorry, but i dont think it was.
Poe was or rather is quite the successful game and the sequel will naturally still have some resemblance to the original.
Also not having any movement skills make the game slower by quite a margin.
So then PoE 2 is a waste of GGG resources and development time, because they can just do that in PoE 1 without making a whole new different game with different cycle and all.

Endgame will always end up as such since grinding is needed at endgame and thus efficiency and speed will reign supreme. This mean builds that are simpler, and have powerful offense will reign supreme. This is the fate of an endgame with so many build options who primary goal is essentially grinding.
And that's why none of the ARPGs will ever be able to really match D2. D2 didn't really have an endgame, but that's not acceptable now when games are designed to be an infinite money sink copying WoW's model. A game you just play for awhile and eventually move on, and maybe revisit every few years, isn't acceptable, so all of them are of course going to have garbagey endgames.

it's possible with a more toned end-game.. but i guess all the "we are creating really different game" was just a pun and excuse.. we have the more power than in poe 1 in some builds - so they "balancing" to get poe 1 power-creep.
i wish for more meaningful end-game and entire rework of defences, armor and how melee works. If they want to stick to "cast-on". Melee weapons should roll "cast-on-strike" like in Diablo. For now melee is just ranged.

Yes, you are right. I think this company is experimenting right now, it doesn't really have a defined way for this game to go. The current situation is intentional. All that's needed to change it is numbers adjustments. They already have combo system in place, all they need is to reduce damage of single skills and increase combo viability.
+/- yes.. but based on warrior they don't experiment to much and they don't know what they are doing at all or how game works based on bleed/QA

I'm failing to see how/why this game is any better than poe 1
An endgame build in poe 2 looks just like the endgame builds look in poe 1
Infinite speed, one shot everything in maps, one shot all pinnacles at all difficulties, all mechanics are trivialized, full screen clears, builds look and feel the same to play, immortality with very trivial investments, extreme imbalance
Why were the games even separated?
