Peak time Concurrents down by 39k in a single day - GJ GGG

That's it folks. Swallow the beta data. Facilized like a good pRon hub sucka. Give your decision making to the Mainframe. You'll self validate somewhere down the line...

losing 10% of a playerbase in a single day speaks volumes about future of this project

at this rate the EA will become a ghost town in 2 weeks

Hopefully you wont be one of those ghosts, candy crush is there for you don't worry.

again not how MMO-lite genre game can afford this to function - the way this is going its worse retention than leagues, yknow small bits of fresh content that tend to keep most initial engagement for about two weeks then start winding down

settlers had a peak of 229k day 1, day 7 was 152k. so its concurrent number went down 34% in a week.

poe2 day 1 was 578k, after a week its now 450k. so its concurrent is down 22% in a week. its got more than twice the player count of poe1s biggest launches and its holding concurrent players better. i dont think you need to lecture the devs on how to run a live service and make it work seeing as poe1, that poe2 is thrashing btw, was the most successful live service arpg ever made and one of the few examples of a massive long term live service success in the wider industry.

everything you are saying rests on numbers that you dont seem to understand and are factually incorrect about to begin with.

settlers didnt lose 33% of its players, poe2 hasnt lost 22% of its players, theyre just not all playing at the same time the way people do on the opening weekend.

if you dont like the game then just post that you dont like it and explain why. you dont need to pretend numbers exist that somehow make your opinion an objective fact that the devs HAVE to bend to. right now there are 3x as many people playing poe2 a week in as there were a week into the settlers league launch, youre gonna need more than pointing at those numbers to make the devs think you have something worth talking about. probably best to spend more time actually making a case for what you want to change and why you think it would make the game better.

I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

you are comparing apples to oranges here ... setlerrs was small additive seasonal content on top of huge solved game that PoE1 has become

therefore its reasonable for dropoff to start basically instantly

PoE2 is brand new unsolved content that SHOULD have taken at least 2 weeks to reach a plateau if not growing for at least that long, instead it is indeed behaving like a poE1 league ... guess what PoE1 leagues become empty graveyards with 10k concurrents within a month and 3 month schedule was created because that is how long it takes for players to get bored and leave almost completely so they need new "stuff" to come back to with a reset for economy and new playthrough, levelling etc ...

meaning this EA is EXACTLY on the way to become THAT within a month nearly dead, within two months on life support at 3+ dead completely

that SHOULDNT be the case, there should be plenty to do and massive replayability open to the playerbase ... except it isnt because of pile of issues that is driving players away basically from the start ...

if the base game cant hold players attention for even a week its DOOMED before it even started
Me, before playing a game - I will make a lot off different builds, play every class, experiment, learn what I can about a game, all of it without guide.

Me after playing, finished campaign and I am done with a game till release, game is no rewarding enough to keep me playing.

I am curious about player retention but I believe that can be judged after second league.

I wish that the game will be succesfull and I would wish that for every game, market is big enough to satisfied all players.

Well it doesn't help that most of the content is very hard, ascendancies are literally impossible at the level that they are designed and also the worst of them were chosen.

Wait how did i get 6 ascendancy points then hmmm

What is the name of this airport?
It is not uncommon. People play the class they want to either rage quit or get to the end game stop for a bit and come back. Personally, I only like melee. My monk feels great after you get past level 14 or so. I'm in the end game with the monk. So I will be leaving myself soon and waiting for updates. I'm waiting for GGG to nerf the ice strike. My build is similar to the guides but doesn't completely follow them, so if they do, I hope I'm still good to go. I have a warrior about level 45 it was a nightmare the whole way. The attacks are way too slow. The mace strike is the best move that hits hard and somewhat quick. The rolling slam takes a day and others take a week. So there are gems to hope with speed still doesn't make them fast or even quick. I respec into the ranger side trying to make it faster and it is still slow. No hope there. It is a warrior melee I do not want to use a dang totem. That is dumb. I want to get up in their face and tank and bash the skulls in. The warrior is not it. I'm hoping the Marauder or Druid (pulverize) class will be a faster melee. Whenever we get that. Hopefully, sooner than later we have 4 range classes time for more melee.
