[PSA] You're in EARLY ACCESS, give feedback but don't expect your character to be intact

They did a closed beta before this......

A, it is NOT alpha, its early access and they work differently as per steam rules and as its on steam they have to abide by those rules (Not that they havnt, just pointing that out)

B, large sweeping changes are for Alphas and betas, not early access

C, most people arent complaining that a nerf happened AT ALL, theyre complaining that the nerf was so heavy handed. a 90% reduction in effectiveness isnt a "Nerf" its a gut. not only did they nerf Co chill, they nerfed ALL cast on ailment builds into the ground. dont want that much damage going out? fine, nerf the damage, NOT the whole ass cast on ailment mechanic.

Cast on's needed a nerf, they did NOT need a 90% nerf. period. full stop.

you should absolutely complain when they make terrible decisions, are you insane? They literally want your feedback, have you seen the name of the forum you are posting in? Here is a hint; it is called the feedback forum.

Can you please read whole of the original post along with the EDIT: section, please?
Thank you

Absolutely not lmao, how's about you post a less aggressive title if you don't want aggressive replies. I am not reading your "do not complain" manifesto.

We're missing more than half of the game, what the fuck are you talking about

For all we know they could be adding supports that will flip the meta 10 times over and they'll have to change those CoX supports back to where they are now.

And as per Steam Rules (that you have, of course, read, because why else would you bring it up) state as follow: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/earlyaccess

"
What Is Early Access?
Steam Early Access enables you to sell your game on Steam while it is still being developed, and provides context to customers that a product should be considered "unfinished." Early Access is a place for games that are in a playable alpha or beta state, are worth the current value of the playable build, and that you plan to continue to develop for release.

I love when people bring some authority up to bolster their point all meanwhile they don't even fucking know what that authority is actually saying...

What a clown take. What exactly do you think they take into account when making said changes?

What a clown response. Of course they take feedback in account.
But I'm pretty sure they don't take into account that Red Menace 13's character will be broken after the changes.
Do you understand nuance, or its all 1-0 in your head?

Interesting line of "thought". The only way to post here is as an individual and it is on GGG to aggregate feedback on their feedback forum.

If everybody did what you're talking about there would be no feedback without a full signed petition. Talk about nuance...

Edit: you're clearly mixing up "represented" and "finished" the visuals and effects we have in game are all finished, what they're working on behind the scenes is "represented" I the versions they're working us. They're not showing us the pre-polish stages which would have been the beta testing.

I'm sure I'm the one that is clearly mixing up stuff here, especially after you've tin-foilled the definition I linked saying its only there because its my site... I mean, seriously.

I said it could be for all I know. You're also misrepresenting or misinterpreting what's posted there, though that could be due to how it's written. After prototyping your core systems should be 100% functional but maybe needing refactor, that's the minimum viable product to see if the mechanics are fun. Pre-alpha is planning refinements and "developer art" and alpha marks where you start putting together the final product. The definition in the blog post is vague due to "represented" the systems (mechanics) should be in place, correct and the "developer art" is represented. This is where you iterate and "alpha test" internally. They've given finished art and finished systems, though they're balancing as we go. We're seeing release versions, not alpha or beta.

1. That depends on what the nerf needs to achieve, in this case kill automation of farming
2. Its not for you to decide what is the correct value.
3. Its not the only outlier nerfed
What would fix a lot of this:

MAKE EARLY ACCESS RESPECING< FREEEEEE

Remove all respec costs for at least the first half of Early Access. While there are new classes and game modes being added, WE, the consumer, should not have to bear the brunt of these changes.

You, GGG, want us to pay for your future F2P game, great, to beta test it, to balance all the interactions that we can find in the game, because 500k people playing and testing it, will discover more in a month than your team could find in a lifetime, that is fact great.

The problem is, why do I need to farm gold everytime you make changes, to then change my build, and rinse and repeat. I am trying to enjoy the game. By eliminating respec costs, players can change their build when they want for EA. Cool, you nerfed this, onto something else. Or, I wonder how this interaction in the passive tree works, lets find out, Oh, doesnt work, could be a bug, lets write a report.

This does nothing but help the game long term, so just make it happen. It would restore a ton of confidence from the public. Its PAID early access for a F2P game, dont punish your consumer base, give them free respecs. It doesn't hurt the future of the game, it only makes it better. For Full Release I'd make Act 1 respec free for new players, or the Act 1 boss drops an item allowing you to respec for free Once. This would go a long way too I think to support newer players

Thank you GGG
