[PSA] You're in EARLY ACCESS, give feedback but don't expect your character to be intact

I see a lot of complaints regarding GGG changing stuff and that GGG is not "respecting their time".

This is a reminder: THIS IS ALPHA VERSION OF THE GAME.

Please read what you're signing up to. From Steam store page:

Early Access Game
Get instant access and start playing; get involved with this game as it develops.
Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development.

GGG cannot stop and think whenever a change they're about to make is going to "ruin" someone's build. They have development cycle to uphold and the more time they spend trying to limit the big changes, the more time it will take before full release.

If you do not want to take part in this because you feel like you're "wasting time", please wait for beta or full release.

Of course, if you have constructive feedback why something should be changed and how, go on. But please, don't use "my character is ruined" as an argument, your character being ruined is not important at this stage.

EDIT2: Some folks try to turn this around and say I'm against feedback: No, I'm not. I'm literally saying that due to lots of feedback the game will be changing rapidly. Do not cling to your current character. It is very likely that it will be ruined by the changes made.
I also think that making respec cheaper (or even granting optional full-respec when big changes hit) would be a good idea for EA phase.

What Is Early Access?
Steam Early Access enables you to sell your game on Steam while it is still being developed, and provides context to customers that a product should be considered "unfinished." It's literally not alpha, that's called an alpha test. Game development stages matter, so it's also not a beta test. Steam literally just had to crack down on this because devs and publishers have been abusing "Early Access" as extended testing grounds, early access is playing a game before it releases.

It's so funny how hypocritical you're being to the point you had to make a post in the Feedback forums for PoE.

Everyone has made numerous arguments against you. Frankly it seems like your only intention is to cause problems making you more like a troll than anything else.

Good point, but another point I've seen is that if they are to make such large changes that would brick a build (rightly so), they should make respeccing more affordable at the very least. POE1 already implements this for chars in standard after every league patch.

It can take around 8 hours to get enough gold to completely respec a character and much longer than that to reroll and start from level 1.

Essentially, the patch is like saying “You’re build not longer works, spend 8 hours fixing it”.

The majority of people want the respec gold cost reduced or a free respec. It is insulting to break a bunch of builds and expect people to “waste” a bunch of time getting back to where they were before the nerf.

Thats not what EA is. You are thinking of headstart. EA games are not finished and everything in them is subject to change. Every single one of EA games is like that. You pay for the right to test out unfinished product. Thats what EA was from the day of its inception.
