You're missing the point. Why is there a need for damage on demand if meteor kills every normal mobs. Why would frostwall's delayed dmg matter if you're using it on tanky rates which would not die to cold snap anyway.

Seems like there's a gap in this build where meteor isn't proccing, likely due to bad support gem and talent choice

I was using a build similar that was doing amazing until act 3 cruel. now I'ts so brutally hard. the freeze buildup isnt enough it seems. Are you having much luck in maps or act 3+

If you’re struggling with freezing stuff initially you may be missing some extra freeze buildup in the passive tree that I am spec’d into, or if you’re not using the Glaciation support gem it could feel pretty rough. Things are definitely tankier for me and harder to kill but I’m into T1 maps and still am clearing very consistently.

I would double check on missing freeze buildup passives or using glaciation and see how that feels! Best of luck, this build has been a very fun to use and I hope you get it feeling better for yourself!

Compared to some other ascendancies you could definitely say StormWeaver is lacking creatively lol. However the buff that having permanent Arcane Surge gives is insanely useful! I’m almost to my 5th and 6th points so I can start testing out the Elemental Storm mode and see how that feels so I’m hoping it feels even better than the build currently does!

What did you have linked to Frostbolt before switching to Eye of Winter? I'm a ways away from 52 and it seems like this information was removed in the edit this evening.

Sorry about that! I haven’t gotten to fully fleshing out this post yet and I’m just updating as I go. Frostbolt works amazingly with Scattershot + Blind + Glaciation! If you don’t have a jeweller for the 4th link I would use Glaciation over Blind! It gets a ton of freeze built up very quickly with that setup, I’m still switching out eye of winter to test frost bolt in maps and see which one I prefer right now!

Any thoughts on spell cascade vs spell echo on comet?

Echo does not have the -30% dmg and seems to land more reliable.

Cascade has 3 comets instead of 2.

For now echo feels better for me but maybe we can use it better somewhere else?

I have given it some thought and I think this would be more of a personal preference type deal if I’m honest. I use echo in my Frost Wall setup because it spawns two Frost Walls directly on top of each other! So unless at some point it’s proven that the doubled frost wall doesn’t actually do anything I think that keeping the double burst on it is better.

I could be entirely wrong but I’ll also be messing with my Gem Links as I continue into maps, if this setup changes I’ll make sure to post it in the build post!

If you are actively freezing enemies and the comet isn’t proc’ing I would first double check to make sure the cast on freeze aura is on. You have to right click it in your skills tab to turn it on, make sure your spirit says 0/60.

If you’re sure it’s turned on and it’s still not working make sure you don’t have any support gems linked to it that would not allow it to cast. The biggest one being Unleash. If you have unleash linked to Comet in your Cast on Freeze it will not work or cast Comet.

I would try linking comet by itself without any supports and test it, remember Cast on Freeze doesn’t work off of every freeze you inflict. Every time you inflict freeze it builds energy for the proc, once the energy hits 100% it will cast the comet. Generally it takes freezing 2-3 enemies to proc a Comet unless you’re using a support gem to boost the energy gain.

The extra 30 spirit to get to 60 comes from Act 3 in the Azak Bog. There is a boss there that gives you an item for +30 spirit.
