Which type of player is POE 2 for?

You can thank the braindead PoE1 players who supported GGG for 10 years to have a PoE2...
Pathetic clown...

Struck a nerve? Just face it, poe1 is nothing more than folowing PoB and everything dies when you fart in its general direction. It devolved to this braindead gameplay. There is a reason why cyclone and RF are the most endorsed builds of all time, they require the least amount of input. The momment game asks you to do mechanics (like sanctum for example) its trash and you have 20 topic from babies crying over it because they cant brute force everything with gear. Im glad PoE2 is not that. Go back to your idle game with extra steps.

this is an early access, come on. wait for a few weeks, this game will turn into easy mode. trust the community.
I honestly don't understand how "souls-like" meshes well with the sort of ARPG that PoE is. The entire point of a souls-like is that they are entirely action-skill based; you can zoom through the game completely naked and defeat everything, if you're good enough. The entire point of Diablo/Exile-like ARPGs is to create and addictive experience with layers and layers of rewards that allow you to "build" a strong character.

If you give people infinite iframe dodge and the ability to attack/cast while moving in any direction, you're gonna have to reduce, water down, or outright eliminate many of the character building rewards, because you've already given them tools to tackle the content. Then you've probably damaged the addictive factor.

Honestly? We don't care how you see PoE1...It's PoE spirit since 10 years so yes, PoE2 should have respected this and the PoE players base...
Not clowns like you who will not be there in 1 year...

You say that to a guy who is here 3 times longer than you. If you are looking for a clown you should just get a mirror.

It would be retarded for GGG to make a competition for their own game. Thats all i have to say.

It's for players that want a meaningful and challenging ARPG experience. For players that want to see their decisions have impact on gameplay from the very start, not just at endgame. It's for players that don't measure their progress in currency per hour until they can obtain a belt that trivializes the game. For players that feel rewarded for their progress and look forward to the next challenge. That's my opinion after 2 days.

POE 2 is not an ARPG its a souls game...

Do you really think they are going to put tons of resources and innovate for a 10 year old game or for the new game.

I don't feel like my gem choices matter.
I don't feel like my passives choices matter.
I don't feel like my gear getting lucky to fit what I want to play matters.
I don't feel like dodge rolling works or is better than travel skills.

This game is as frustrating as it is fun, and by that I mean its A LOT, but you remember the lows a lot more than the highs, and thats a bad state for the game.

Bad news for you.

If your gear, choices or skills make you powerful, it will nullify the "mechanics" and you can skip bosses, which tends to be Poe1 and not in line with the vision.

So even if they give you loads of loot, not feeling powerful no matter what you do is the intended design.

BTW I did predict poe2 and poe1 are fundamentally contradictions. People were just blinded by the hype.

Sure is mechanical skill getting swarmed by 20 mobs that move 100% faster than you and body blocking you so you cant escape.

It would be a scam to take advantage of the players who supported them for 10 years to make a sequel that does not meet their expectations.
Thats all i have to say.[

Not at all. They met my expectations. You just wanted another brainded game where you can kill everything by walking RF boy. Fallout 2 and 3 are also completely different. Turn out you dont need to make carbon copy.
