Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access
" Nah I'm still lagging even playing in a dead chat. It's a server issue I tried reinstalling the game, updating drivers, changing settings ingame and nothing helps. When I play any other game the issue isn't there so it's either Servers or the game communication with them. I have half a Gigabit of internet speed and my rig is decent (R7 5700X3D + RTX 3080) so it should be a non issue. This problem is more common in weekends so I play on weekdays more often than not. |

" Oh, I did do that too actually. People who still get this maybe try doing this along with using an Ethernet cable as a first thing? Ninja.

" i cannot fucking believe that i've been having unplayable performance for over 300 hours and it was due to what chat chanel i was connected to... sigh. thank you |

" Renaming the log file worked for me too, no stuttering and lags anymore. Thank you. Edit: they're back :( Last edited by 2ndButters#2735 on Jan 5, 2025, 8:26:49 AM

same boat me and my RL friend ...
unplayable endgame due to this ... needs fix |
|
In case it helps anyone...
After learning more over the past several days I found, what should of been obvious in the beginning, that my lag is due to CPU spikes, not GPU or Server. Strangely enough verifying the integrity of my game files seems to have fixed the issue for me. Although there was no note that anything was wrong or missing, this seems to have fixed the issue for me for now. |

2 Things Helped My Spikes/Stutters
First this 10 year old post from reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/3ahg59/fix_for_wireless_ping_spikes/ And Disabling "Intel Innovation Platform Framework Service" from Windows Services Find your equivalent Amd Service if you can if not intel I guess |

" Thank you!!! I keep having this stupid lag spikes, it keeps jumping from 20ms to 500 and the game pretty much freezes for a sec every 3-5 seconds, I just typed /global 8989 and the latency is now constant 24-26... How is just the chat server causing this I can't understand... I'm not even using the global or trade chat, I have both of them disabled since day one.. Well, thank you again, that fixed it for me. Issue exists for me as well. I have a Core i91300k, 32 GB RAM DDR5, RTX 4080 and the came on DX12 caps at 27FPS.
I swap to DX11 and it shoots up to 150 FPS but the moment I walk forward it drops back down to 15 FPS.
