Mercenary stops shooting

+1, on PS5. Incredibly frustrating as its disrupted gameplay for me around 30-40% of the time, then having to frantically switch ammo types to get the reload/shots, which can take anywhere up to ~5s before firing shots off again - which of course can be game breaking if in the middle of a hard fight.

Needs to be a high priority fix, as it's a little game breaking (imo).

I've encountered this with my sorcerer (as well as 3 other players various classes that I play with) and I think I've figured out some combination of the issue. It has something to do with to many button presses or some combination of casting/potion drinking while rolling (or before the rolling animation finishes)

I've had it so I couldn't do any spells until the 4th different one I've clicked.
Extremely infuriating bug. But if it's an intended feature then that's even more infuriating.
I'm able to reproduce it any time by emptying the crossbow and rolling. If you try to shoot before the reload happens you get some clicks like a jammed weapon.
Sometimes it's 1 -2 clicks but i've had as much as 4-5 clicks which is insane. Sitting there for 1-3 seconds not able to shoot , i hope to god this is a bug.
You got our money, now fix this crap.

No way this is intended.
100% agreed, i opened a thread myself about this issue before finding this one.
I fyou reload and shoot right after it blocks itself from shooting and even trying to : reload, dodge mid reload and reload again.
It's not a bug that makes the merc unplayable, once you have figured it out you can avoid it but it breaks combat flow every now and then.
So - just to follow up on my previous reply - got to Count Geonor (lvl 17 and even have an epic xbow, as well as completely in rares), hard boss fight of course, however a couple of things:

- I literally have a video where I don't reload or shoot for around 30s, when holding/pressing buttons.
- In the mist phase, since you need to dodge a lot to avoid the adds, you don't reload - so you effectively need to just keep rolling around without doing a shred of damage.
- His AoE where he pounds the ground - rolling out of it, on time, still getting caught.
- I've multiple instances throughout campaign where I noticed you even LOSE any skills/perks/buffs (for example scattershot - if you switch from one skill to another after firing only one shot, it shoots one off then "jams").

Guys there's so much broken about this, between however the reload mechanism is supposed to work (which is utter trash - you won't reload anything other than grenades unless you mash the appropriate skill and break the flow of gameplay), there's a separate bug where button input does nothing after coming out of a roll, and even the roll/travel/whatever for specifically Geonor himself.
Before anyone says, this is not a "me" issue, I've died only around 3 times until this fight, however due to the need to keep moving, therefore you can't reload/shoot/basically do anything at many points.

I get it's early access, and it's honestly got so much potential, however this is gamebreaking for me, especially having spent the $30 ($30 just to point out all the bugs to the dev team to - hopefully - fix? whatever happened to open betas?)
+1 this is still an issue
+1

I'll be switching between ammo types and hear the reload sound but just do nothing for 2 seconds while enemies swarm me.
+1, happens regularely and is really bad for the game flow.

I notices it when reloading.

also when switching target my merc is just backpaddling and not willing to shoot at the new target 🎯
