Mercenary stops shooting

I play with controller because I came from PoE1 orginally on console. This happens all the time some skills you can safely hold down the attack/shoot key and roll and do whatever but with others (especially if you're trying to combo skills) it just stops.... literally just died to a mob because i couldnt combo it properly while getting swarmed

Yes I am also experiencing this bug, and it is very frustrating in what is otherwise an incredible game.

I'm playing with controller and it happens everytime I dodge during a reload. I will keep holding the right trigger for shooting but my mercenary will get stuck in the reload and just do nothing. So I have to release the trigger and press it again (even then it often won't work and I have to spam the trigger) or swap ammo around so my character finaly reloads and starts shooting again.

This has resulted in many awkward and unnecessary deaths. Since I use mostly shotgun ammo, I need to reload very often, and I'm actually considering starting over with a new character and wait for this bug to be fixed before going back to mercenary.

supper annoyance bug and I hope it's not a game mechanic.

Bumping this one with my own testing for this bug, because this bug is getting very annoying.

The bug happens if you begin press+hold the attack button very quicly after switching ammo types:

- Switch ammo type -> quickly press & hold attack button = weapon does NOT fire.
- Switch ammo type -> wait ~100-200ms then press & hold attack button = weapon fires.
- Hold down attack button -> continue holding attack button while switching ammo type = weapon fires.

So, a temporary workaround is to start holding down the attack button BEFORE switching to another ammo. It is a rather tedious and unnatrual workaound though, as I still find myself not shooting quite a lot!!

Experience this as well.

Ammunition skills will on occasion just not shoot.
Most of the times it's to do with combination of reloading bolts and dodge rolling.

However, I have had the issue just strafing en shooting as well and I can't exactly say why.

Strafing assumption: It might have to do with intractable objects like chests, urns and ground loot nearby mouse cursor while shooting at enemies. Somehow it seems to think I want to pick up or interact with something but at the same time it also wants to shoot the enemies and then just bugs out, though this jam occurs way less then the reload/dodge one.

Same issue here. Mostly noticeable on controller when swapping ammo but also happens on wsad.
