POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

Please give us the courtesy of being open on where you are at with this issue and don’t abandon your product for the next month leaving your paying customers with a defective product that may be damaging their PCs with hard OS level crashes.

While i agree we need a solution ASAP, i dont think GGG is silent. It's on the High Priotity bug List.

Also please explain why this is damaging PC ?

A poorly timed crash will not only corrupt your data/files but can easily corrupt your windows install and brick hardware like your hard drives or SSDs

I have a brand new PC because my old one failed after a hard freeze playing Destiny 2. One of the components of the motherboard that manages the voltage broke, and left the motherboard dead and the PSU damaged. I work at software app development and our test machines often have to be hard rebooted, and those are the ones we replace earlier each on licensing agreement. On the software level, leaving operations unfinished can lead to many files left in an unusable state, or faulty state.

It will rarely break anything, but as your pc gets older it's more risky both for hardware and software. And it substracts from your computer lifespan.

But if you don't want to believe me, you can do your research yourself.

Last time I played this game and had the hard crash, I noticed my PC taking longer to boot.

I then also notice that it couldnt detect one stick of my RAM. I have 64 gb and when I got into bios/windows it would show 32 gb. And Ive checked before the reboot because I just had put my CPU in a <eco> plan, lowering watts to see if that would help.

Long story short even resetting bios didnt help, had to reseat both ram (I removed them and exchanged their place) and my ram is now fine.

But anyone whos not technical (I work in IT) would probably never have seen this issue and lost dual memory support, just because of an unoptimized game

For the record I have a 7800x3d ,x670 aorus board, 64GB 6000mhz, 3080 ti, w11 with 24h2

I did not count how often my PC crashed, many many times, so it would be nice to get a solution... (not talking about disabling multi-engine...)

No problems with other games, no problems in POE1.

I tried reinstalling 22H2 from an older flash drive i had (it was a ghost spectre version - so a very stripped out win11) and that has the same issues.

I'm currently making a new media stick for 24H2 - an official one... I'll let you know how it goes.

I had regular (1 per hour) black screens where the PC was still on but I could do nothing except hit the reset button.

I followed this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LCZq-iACU4 and now I can play fine with no more crashes. Hope this can help anyone else with an AMD GPU. Seems to be a mix of driver issues coupled with windows services shenanigans.

I love this game to death but I really wish GGG would allocate some more resources to optimization, my rig is by no means cheap and yet it sounds like an airplane taking off during gameplay. My heart bleeds thinking about the amount of people who are planning to play this when it comes out of EA and becomes F2P who are going to be instantly turned off because they don't have high end builds able to not melt running the game.

Attempted updating affinity from task manager, only works sometimes.

Crash occurs upon game load and during additional loading screens when attempting to teleport between waypoints.

When traveling, my PC freezes while the loading screen is displayed. I can still move the mouse pointer but nothing else works. The problem occurs 9/10 times during the loading screen.

PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!
