Same here latest window's update, 3080, 78003dx and 32gb ram 6000. Happened 4-5 times already, are they aware of the issue? Would be nice to get some sort of conformation that they are working on it.

" try to: 1) Use Win 7 compatibility mode for .exe files of PathOfExile2 inside game folder 2) Steam - right click on PoE2 - properties - General tab - Steam Overlay switch OFF. |
|
An update about my crashes: a couple of them (in Act 2) opened a dialog with the message
"[D3D12] Failed to create resource for texture []" To err is stupid.

update
Possible solution for game FREEZES and system reboots: 1) Update latest chipset drivers and BIOS for your motherboard. (be very careful with BIOS update watch guides or use help of experienced tech guys) 2) In BIOS settings DISABLE for ASUS-"Multicore enhancement", for MSI "Enhanced Turbo", for GIGABYTE "Tweaker tab, Enhanced Multi-Core Performance". 3) Clear AMD/Nvidia shader cache. (just google it) 4) WINDOWS 11 users rolling back the windows update from 24H2 to 23H2. OR Use Win 7 compatibility mode for .exe ! 5) CLOSE all your browsers and their processes in your system before playing the game. 6) Steam - right click on PoE2 - properties - General tab - Steam Overlay switch OFF. 7) DISABLE dynamic culling in game options. 8) Turn off Nvidia Reflex in game options. "Possible solution for game STUTTERS: 1) Update latest chipset drivers and BIOS for your motherboard. (be very careful with BIOS update watch guides or use help of experienced tech guys) 2) WINDOWS 11 users rolling back the windows update from 24H2 to 23H2 / OR Use Win 7 compatibility mode for .exe ! 3) Clear AMD/Nvidia shader cache. (just google it) 4) Do NOT change NVIDIA control panel settings for PoE2. 5) Do NOT disable Full screen optimization in EXE files of the game. 6) CLOSE all your browsers and their processes in your system [in my case opened Chrome cause stutters every 2-3 seconds] 7) Turn OFF NVIDIA Reflex in game options tab. 8) Steam - right click on PoE2 - properties - General tab - Steam Overlay switch OFF. Info for devs - mostly problem located in working browsers IDK how this correlate with PoE2 performance but it is!"[/quote] |

crashing (return to windows) too when loading in a specific zone in my case : gates of remparts, after the executionner, act1.
Looks like my character is screwed for the moment, I can't load anymore. I had zero issue before that. I tried to play with a new character, the game is perfectly fine. So it's something in the loading of the mentioned zone which makes me going back to windows. |

Hi Same issue here...
The culprit seems to be the latest build of Windows 11 24h2. Rolling back to 23h2 fixed this for me. SJ Last edited by HyperZ_#3445 on Dec 8, 2024, 10:10:31 AM

7800X3D with 4070 Super Ti
64GB 6000Mhz Freezing in loading screen. Turned multithreading off fixed for me. But in towns, down to 12 FPS if there are many players with their effects. 20 FPS in towns is normal. Not playable. |
