POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen
Just wanted to add yet another message to reinforce that this is NOT a 24h2 issue, been having non stop crashes on 22H2 here.
Windows : 22H2 CPU : Ryzen 7 5800X GPU : RX7900XT This is NOT a 24H2 issue, or X3D issue. This is a PoE1/PoE2 issue. |

To add: My system updated to 24H2 in October already. I had 0 lag and stutter in PoE2 for the first week after launch.
Somewhere around the 12th is when stuttering became an issue (for me). I don't know why. Yes there was a small PoE patch, but there were also small incremental Win11 updates. I did a complete fresh install of 23H2 today, updated all drivers to current, optimized all recommended Win11 settings etc. The stutter persists. Prior to the fresh OS install I had also tried almost every possible solution I could find on this forum and reddit and then some (network card configurations etc.) |

I had easily reproducible freezes on 24h2 in both poe1 and poe2 in the last month. Happened all the time on loading, had to reboot PC every time.
Just installed 23h2 today, works well for now. Will update this post if I experience any freezes again. |

I can only play if the render is DX11.

It's a shame that none of the top streamers are affected by this, because they have more exposure than anyone of us.
If someone like Zizaran was affected by this, you bet your arse that this will be a priority. Last edited by MiguelFg#3451 on Dec 17, 2024, 3:43:11 PM

" Can confirm that this has been an issue for me back in POE1 somewhere in spring this year. I reinstalled my Windows and it fixed the issue, but now it's back again in both POE1 and POE2. Back then I also had a different config. Then: Windows 11 23h2, i5-9400f 16GB DDR4, AMD RX580 and an old motherboard Now: Windows 11 24h2, i5-12400f 32GB DDR, RTX 3050 and a great motherboard. |

" Shroud was affected. So was PirateSoftware. |
|
" PoE isn't their main game so... They will move on with their lives. It's not a income issue for them. |
|
" That's good to hear. I wouldn't want unrelated people's livelihood to be at stake. Bad for us though. |
