POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

I was unable to play and tried a lot of things
The only thing that solved my crashing issues when loading new areas was the following configuration:
On windows, Search for: Graphics Settings

Turn OFF the folowing option on advance settings:
Hardware-Accelerated GPU scheduling

That solved if for me, no more crashs so far.
Same issue here.

CPU: Ryzen 7800X3D
GPU: Nvidia 4080 Super
RAM: 32GB 6000MHz CL30
OS: Windows 11 24H2

Started happening after I upgraded from 23H2 to 24H2.
Bump
I suggest to spam negative review on Steam. Otherwise they don't care about us!

yep flag the game as potentially damaging hardware on steam store this is apsurd.
Wellp, the solution of gettin antivirus exceptions didn't work either.

As soon I forgot to uncheck Engine Multithreading once (because sometimes I space out) boom, PC froze and had to restart.

This is... Demoralizing. I can play obviously doing that engine trick but I guess I'm just too dumb to be focused all the time on doing the check-uncheck thingy and sooner or later I will forget and PC will have a chance to crash.

24H2

I´ll install 23h2 and see if that fixes the issue

I know its not the solution for everyone, but installing a fresh 23h2 did actually fix it for my setup.

Since I installed Windows 11 24H2 yesterday, I've had tons of POE2 crashes- either CTD, or in one case, I had to power cycle the system.

In the latter case, the sound was looping, screen was no longer updating but the mouse point could move slowly. Alt-f4 and ctrl-alt-del didn't work. In the end, I had to hard power cycle, as noted.

OS: Windows 11 Professional 24H2
CPU: 7800X3D
RAM: 64GB
GPU: NVidia 4800 Super

Prior to the 24H2 update, I'd only had one one POE2 crash total, in 50+ hours. I've had three crashes in the last hour. I'd say that the game is currently bordering on unplayable due to crashing at the most comically crucial moments :)

Might need an urgent look.

For all of you suggesting reinstall Windows 23H2, you shouldn't be forced to COMPLETELY reinstall an OS for ONE game when the rest of your games run perfectly fine. Not to mention most people with an AMD CPU will lose and additional 10%-15% or so in other games as well with the branch tree AMD patch in 24H2. Also ignoring the fact that MS will force you to install 24H2 anyway (depending on if you set your update setting before hand). It seems that people that have done a deep dive on this that this is a basic coding issue that is creating an infinite loop, hence the computer coming to a grinding halt. An update after a week of this happening is the least we could ask for, especially since a good majority of us paid the $30 for the early access.

Very much this. The majority of us actually gave money to be in the early access.

The fact that they didn't immediately prioritize this as the number one top thing is, frankly, embarrassing.

How many pages is this thread and we have one comment from GGG? That's extraordinary.

At least acknowledge what a major deal this is and reassure us that you're working hard on it.
