POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

The funny thing is that I started playing already on 24 h2, and on the first day of the game, December 7, I played 3 hours, and I had no problems. The next morning, I updated the nvidia drivers released specifically for PoE, and it started. I thought it was the driver for the video card, and rolled them back, and continued to hang on. To be honest, I have been afraid to run the game for more than a week to try some solutions, such as checking the integrity of files, etc.
6 times in row.. I hope they fix it soon because this is just killing my will to play it at all.

Well they allready put in on the known bugs, so they are not silent, this means they are working on it :-)

That known bugs part is actually making me less hopeful due to "Win 11 blame shifting".

How hard can it be for GGG to just put some update here... Too hard apparently.

Have you generated a dxdiag file and sent it to GGG as they've requested?

I cannot send DMs because my level is too low in the game. They apparently do not look at any other sent mails (you can see it from the access to file counts).

This is something I have mentioned in my posts. If you cannot DM, they do not check. If you have DM'd them they still might have not checked.

finally they said this is "mostly affecting people that use Win11 24H2", deflecting the issue while knowing fully that this is not a Win11 issue, there are people here with Win10s and Win11s of all versions.

Since last windows update, the report exploded. Personally didn't get any freeze until this weekend. So last win update isn't the primary cause for the freeze but aggravated the problem to many more users.

The game also had updates during that time period, which is more likely to have created issues for players that have been playing normally up until now.
I rolled back the last windows update and I am not crashing anymore.
I played early access from the first day and I hadn't had any crashes. This morning I changed the settings of the Memory Context Restore options in my bios because I wanted to speed up the PC's boot, I had forgotten to turn it off after updating the bios weeks ago. After that, the game started to freeze the entire PC during loading, especially in act 2 going to the caravan.

So, people who are using AMD AM5, if you don't want to crash/freeze your PC, leave the memory context options in the bios on Auto instead of enabled, it should solve your problems while GGG analyzes this. Only the PC boot will be slower, but nothing that will hinder it too much.

My config:

RTX 4070 Ti
Ryzen 7800X3D
Asus X670E-Plus Wifi

Windows up to date.
Normally i get those freezes quite frequently but since i changed the power settings to Ultimate Performance Mode https://www.howtogeek.com/368781/how-to-enable-ultimate-performance-power-plan-in-windows-10/ i havent had a freeze for 20+ portals. Can someone test this too ?

i got win 11 24h2 btw. tutorial works for win11

Oh thank lord it isn't just me

This has started for me today after playing daily since release for over 100 hours

I did have a Windows update last night before shutting my PC down for the night

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090
Windows 11 Home Version 24H2
ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI

I created a post with a workaround that worked for me here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3627835/page/1#p25625978

Probably a lot of ppl found similar workarounds... Sending the DXdiag to Timothy now but he probably got enough now :/

I would just really love to see this issue in the High Prio segment of their known issues :(
