So "for now" here is the "fix" according to Pirate software and shroud. I haven't had any crashes/freezing but the stutters are still there nothing well fix that with the memory leaks in game confirmed by Ziz. Enable vulkan and turn shadows to high, 8x anisotropic filtering, no upscaling NIS. When the game launches go task manager details and set POE affinity cores and uncheck 0-1. Also select your gpu instead of auto for physx in the nvidia control pannel. I haven't froze all week since this fix but at the cost of my games visuals and performance. 4080s/7800x3d/24H2 windows 11. 70-100fps 3440x1440 all other settings maxed.

I added a new build to PoE Uncrasher that should avoid false positives from virus scanners, but it requires .NET 9 to be installed on your computer. I don't remember if this is something that tends to be installed by default nowadays. But if you have issues with it getting flagged as a virus, that can be used instead.

As a reminder, if you run this tool it should prevent freezes from locking up your computer. If you run the tool as an administrator (rightclick -> Run as Administrator), it should automatically recover PoE when it freezes.

Hey man, I truly thank you for the work you've done for the community that GGG hasn't. Kudos to you, now I can play!

The problem is with that temporary fix is you are still going to crash a ton! I would go full out with mine, I play 12+ hours no crashing.

What the hell... that main link was posted July 28. This issue is affecting BOTH of their titles potentially for months and GGG are completely silent.

People are so desperate for a solution or even a somewhat reliable workaround that they're trying any random idea presented by other users in this thread. I'm certain that if they opened a dialogue with the community here, root cause could be narrowed down and fixed quickly.

Leads me to believe they know exactly what it is and either don't have the personnel to fix it in their tech or the issue is so fundamentally ingrained in the engine that a fix is impossible without a complete tech overhaul. Maybe a combination of both considering how many crashes they launched with.

The silence is completely indefensible, though.

uninstalling the most recent windows update seems to have fixed it for me ( 6 hours, many portals, no crashes.)
+1 people who crashes. Already sent my dxdiag. GL fixing it :(
Real
Shame no fix for the holidays
Early Access right before a vacation period is a terrible idea as it turns out. :)

I think they thought the same legal loophole that protected them during PoE1 would protect them now as well, but newsflash it does not. Because they sold early access itself. If they wanted a liability protection they should have sold MTX and then "gifted" early access to whoever purchased 30$ worth of MTX. Now they remain silent in hopes that no one sues them in US. If only I were in US...

But this is just me, thinking about this "silence", trying to make it seem rational.

Those threads are exactly carbon copies of ours. Astonishing.
