Hard crashing PC locks up

this is so stupid. the very last patch of the year and you guys let it still risk damaging your customer's PCs. that's shady AF

Really sucks- nothing done as cannot play POE 1 or POE 2 due to freezing on New PC. Really unfortunate that cannot experience it on brand new PC for both games. Hopefully there is some sort of update post at least.

Will try a few more times, since crashing doesn't seem to have been fixed with todays patch

Expected given the lack of communication around this issue and no direct allusion in the patch notes.

The closest we've got to a response is a GGG employee editing your post meaning at least someone is keeping an eye on the thread...

Hopefully another fix is on its way soon but it's looking likely this will remain an issue over the Christmas break. Big stain on my personal enjoyment of the game and despite some great updates and comms elsewhere this unfortunately leaves a terrible taste in my mouth with regards to GGG. Poor way to treat many of your players given their time and monetary investment. Shame.

lmao, so much for the lock ups being fixed in the latest patch.

First log in after the patch… loading screen freezes and whole computer locks up.

Patch 0.1.0e did not fix the hard crashing issues for me.

I got about 15 minutes in game then:

1st crash - Game closed straight to desktop
2nd crash - 5 minutes after reloading, game locked up then closed to desktop
3rd crash - 3 minutes after reloading - This time hard lockup, and reboot of PC with no BSOD.

This is the only game, application, or program, that crashes my system.
