If i get enought PC hard lockups, will this damage the CPU overtime?

Yes.

How so? If you only doing turn off PC that any cause losing system files other than that, I can't find any reason for damaging CPU.
Power up stresses hardware because on a short period of time the power supply (voltage and current) may be unstable and go beyond the maximum parameters, the envelope defined by the industry standards.

Hard lockups themselves won’t directly harm the CPU, but the underlying causes (e.g., thermal stress, unstable power, or faulty hardware) and frequent improper shutdowns could contribute to long-term wear on your system. Identifying and fixing the root cause of the lockups is the best way to prevent potential harm.

...

Power Cycling Damage:

Hard lockups often require you to manually power off the system. Repeated sudden power-offs can stress the power delivery system, such as the motherboard VRMs (Voltage Regulator Modules), power supply, and other components.
Over time, electrical surges from improper shutdowns could potentially harm the CPU socket or surrounding components, indirectly affecting the CPU's operation.

Hi everyone, whilst we have already been investigating this issue already, it would be massively helpful if you could provide your dxdiag output by doing the following on windows:

run > dxdiag > save all information

and sending me that file or it's contents in a private message.

Thanks!

An option (or even manual config tweak) to disable multi-threading for loading screens only would be a nice band-aid, simple enough fix for this while the core problem is analyzed! Thanks for investigating.
Hey bois, wassup, what's the count of bricked hardware right now?
Same problem here often happening...
Well, right next to holidays and patch notes are officially out with no fix for this problem, guess it's going to be atleast 2-3 weeks more waiting, crazy.
Oh well nothing in the patch notes again ... Happy holidays guys and hopefully there is something interesting in the steam winter sale
0.1.0e Patch Notes
Fixed 12 Client Crashes.
Fixed 3 Instance Crashes.
I've tried every solution. Some work for a couple hours, others don't work at all. I had the longest period of crash free play after setting exceptions in Windows Defender for all the files. However, only in Vulkan. In dx12 it would crash instantly. And even then, after a couple days it still crashed with Vulkan.

I've just uninstalled both POE and POE2. I am not risking my hardware because GGG is too lazy to do anything about the problem.

I have also reported the game on steam for potentially harming hardware.
