Hard crashing PC locks up

What evidence? :) My evidence is my own case. I play freeze-free since day I switched to win10. I reapeat - I still have crashes. EVERY DAY I play. But I dont experience full system freeze at ALL. Not even once after switch. (Without change to dx11, limiting cpu, change to BIOS, using 3rd party software).

We are on page 150+ of a thread with people showing different combinations of hardware and fixes they have tried that didn't work, or worked for a while until the problem came back.

Good that it works for you, it may work for others as well, but don't be so bold to already claim that this is solved somehow and that because it's fine for you that's "evidence".

Yeah other people are showing so hard evidence :) So evidence by people that rollback helped - not valid. Evidence of people for which they say it didn't help - valid :)

I wish that everyone that experience hard freeze of PC just tried fresh install of win10 or win11 before 24 update. Yeah there is no guarantee. And I know how bad this advice sounds cause I was in the same place.

I wish you all the best, and sorry if somehow my posts upset you. I'm done with this thread.

You're right, let's all install Windows 10, rollback to XP and run a Linux vm. Don't forget to limit memory frequency at 800MHz, disable hyperthreading, remove the cpu and install a Pentium 2.

Worked for me.
23H2 was what I was on when the hard crashing started, so I doubt the Windows version has something to do with this issue.

Something is obviously wrong with the game itself not our systems when every other game runs fine.

And I did a fresh install of 23H2 and still froze to death.
Yeah, I'm playing Indiana Jones, RDR2 on ultra for example, absolutely no issue, not even a crash getting me back to the Desktop.
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080
Win 11 24h2

Before updating windows, i only had DX12 related texture crashes while fighting bosses.
After i got the same slow mouse movement pc freezes others described.
NGL, this is getting real annoying to the point of making it basically unplayable. I just got this twice while just launching the game...

I was using 22H2 then patched it to 23H2 and now I'm on the 24 version. 22H2 gave me blue screens 2 times. 24 version however restarts my pc.
Should start making bets how many pages this thread is going to have before this issue is solved lol.

i say until 25h2
It won’t attract attention; they don’t care. This post has been up for a week and is still being updated. The problem isn’t just with the developers’ attitude—it’s obvious they’re afraid to take responsibility because people could officially blame them if their hardware gets damaged. It’s not just PCs freezing; I’ve seen cases with consoles as well.

The issue also lies with the stubborn PoE players, who have always mockingly laughed at Blizzard’s fan base. They used to say that Blizzard fans would swallow anything they’re given. Yet, despite all the freezes and crashes on their systems, they still keep playing the game, rebooting their PCs, jumping through hoops, and trying questionable methods to fix issues that the developers themselves should be addressing.

At the same time, they keep the game’s online numbers high enough that the developers don’t worry and don’t see the problem as anything serious. If all these people writing here simply stopped playing the game, it would have a greater impact than repeatedly sharing the same advice, which sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. In the end, it still leads back to system freezes or game crashes.

We have a saying, and if adapted for English users and this particular problem, it would go like this: “If the tool's too short, blame Windows.” Think about it.

No negativity intended.
