Cold Chronomancer Megathread (WIP). CoF nerfed. Very slow gameplay now.

dmg is ok-ish. other classes deal much more from what i can see.
we are locked without like any nice skills.
eye of winter is hmmm for now unusable for me. i need to think what to do to make it actually work.

Actually, pretty comfortable now. Frost wall is damn good spell.
Pretty strong against big bosses, can zone enemies and block projectiles.

Idk, I saw some videos of other classes. Some are way stronger, some are not.
I guess, ok is ok, kinda.

yeah same. looks great.

"the problem" however is..
we are using frost bomb, and frost wall as our primary. neither hit instantly. and thus don't freeze instantly either.
(well frost wall does on bosses, and shotguns, often freezing them in a second.)

so comet looks great, and hits hard. but, wall+ice to expose, and lock down. then active cast comet on target is going to be much more effective.

I think I will choose blasphemy. and active casting which every ice wall explosion trigger I decide on.

edit: I found +spirit as a mod on a level 33 chest. if we aren't locked into spirit scepters that opens it up a bit.
also +presence size on a scepter fyi..

Kind of feels like there is little reason to take encore, besides maybe for hammer of the gods I guess?

isn't stormweaver a better choice for this build?

I would take it in last trial. Imho cast speed, 20% slow(after fix), 33% coldoown remove are 3 mandatory options. Temporal rift = useless, freeze is too bad for 2 points. Recoup and encore are remaining options.

Hey man! Was wondering why youre running ice armor instead of mana remnants for mana regen? I was running remnants and it seems like my mana is never an issue.

Also could we get some basic gearing strats? Ive been building straight ES and was wondering if thats the way. My build is all sorts of messed up right now, i have to farm gold to respec to this build, specifically heavy frost and frost wall. I cant seem to be able to unlock frost wall though for some reason.

Bc I'm running cold spells w/o shock, mana remnants are for lightning builds (they spawn on killing shocked enemies).
Atm I'm running arctic armor with clarity support, it's ok.

About the gear, can't say for now really. I wear whatever I pick up atm. I haven't checked the market yet.
