" I am OK without Grim Feast. Temporal chain says -10% instead of +2% effect without heightened curse but still 40% slow. Not sure if it becomes 30% instead. Anyway, working on my new tree. I am not sure if Roil is worth it with Spark set up. It takes quite a lot of point to go there. What do you think? |

" " Friendly advice here. Do more tests by yourself to check what is good or not for you personally. If you think Roil isn't worth it - just refund it and run some maps. Unlike me, you might not notice any difference. The same goes for literally everything else. If smth feels wrong - you will notice it. If not - it's fine then. I mean, you don't have to run a 100% copy of my build. It's based on my personal preferences that won't click with everyone. Don't be afraid of experiments. It's fun, and you might find something better for you. ~~~~ Done with nagging (sorry about that), back to business: Roil ring is 46% increased AoE, and it's damn huge. I mentioned Blasphemy, so the difference I noticed is about incoming projectiles and leap slam attacks. I just get fewer hits this way. And I prefer more AoE in Frost Wall, since Spark isn't the only thing I'm using. I got used to Frost Wall too much to ditch it out. |

" I didn’t know roil applies to blasphemy also. And I am surprised to here that blasphemy affect projectile. I got another death today. Projectile are the hard part for me. I was feeling invincible and pushed a map to the limit 200% extra fire damage elemental weakness…. 300% waypoint + 3 distils to get extra rare monsters and 60% delirium. I didn’t last long. I feel grim isn’t useful anymore for me. For easy content, I don’t need. For hard map/ simulacrum, my shield is small and always 0. I think you are right and having 6k mana and more fire power would be better than 4K mana and 2k shield. 6K mana without dream fragment might be hard though |

" Another take is to remove CI, actually. Before removing CI i was on the mindset that i just needed more mana and to better manage my abilities, but that would still inevitably lead to me getting 1 tapped when i spent all my mana. I just never like ES because it requires grimfeast support and investing a bit of nodes into it. Finally realized that having just mana as defensive layer isnt a good thing, and transitioned into chaos res gear. Now despite having slightly less mana, I have higher EHP overall due to having 1.5k hp + 5k mana and is more than enough to tackle the most difficult content. I almost never die aside from doing dumb shit like walking into several on-death effects. The bonus cherry on top is that chaos gear is damn cheap compared to the int-related counterparts. |

" It doesn't slow projectiles, it slow monsters that shoot. With more AoE you will slow them before they shoot. |
