DO NOT make your own build in EA

I will be making my own build, on the fly. Granted I'm only half defective so I should be able to complete acts before I quit tbh. Most people sack the game before campaign is completed anyway.
Never take advice from a person with such little experience in the game. Not a single support badge..
Hear hear!

And when Dual Strike is added the game, none of you should build it because that's my ability and only I'm allowed to use it.
Don't listen to this person. Play the game the way you want, build how you want. The only thing that is permenant as of now are Ascendancies. Try things, change your mind and have fun. You aren't being paid to be perfect in the game. Most top streamers aren't even going for "Meta" builds. This is the first time most people are playing the game, you can't re-experience your first playthrough so enjoy it.
Sadly this is true most likely. It was true all this time in poe1, it would surprise me if they changed the system so much.
See my large and detailed feedback on poe1 (Settlers league) here:

Includes also suggestions for new features and content.
It's simple: The higher content you want to beat, the more you need to understand the game. If you don't understand the game AND want to do high level content, you should be ready to accept some help in form of build guides. If you do understand the game, you can easily make a build by yourself.

If you don't care about doing the toughest content, do whatever you like and have fun :)

Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Your builds will not work. Period.

So many people are telling others "check this out, try that", "Hundreds of gems available", "There will be thousand of possible builds"...

No. Lies upon lies. Click baits.

The offense in this game relies on strong synergy from equipment and tree nodes. The damage is calculated in terms of millions. It is the result from chain of multiplication, cheesy conversions and focusing all investment on one thing.

The defense is organized on different layers, demanding heavy investment, often in multiple of them, to ensure character survival.

The game was, is, and always will be, balanced against top builds.

You will never be able to pick nodes on the go, and come up with something that works. Even if you are particularly good at math, prototyping requires tools, that allow you to check if the end-game numbers are actually alright.

So if you want to see something more than the campaign (And you should, because otherwise its 30 buck for 3 acts...), "experimenting" is absolutely not recommended.

A) you are giving people very little credit
B) you are giving people bad advice
C) you are assuming that everyone is in a hurry for getting to the endgame
D) you are assuming that guides will be available on day 1 for people to follow
E) you are assuming that people would be able to "mimic" the builds of others, when so much in the game relies on gearing and gear synergies combined with proper skill usage.
F) you are just wrong. Did I mention B? :)
G) You don't know a thing about the game, what it was and will ever be, as it.. wait for it..

I mean... literally, wait for it, as it IS NOT YET RELEASED. :)

The ceiling is much lower and now is the best time to experiment. GGG very likely tried to make every class viable.
IGN: Arlianth
Check out my LA build: 1782214

Viable for what? To finish the campaign and start doing maps (waystones)?
Absolutely. Hands down.

To effectively clear end game content? I highly doubt it.

And if PoE 1 EA is any example of how broken one build can be, then PoE 2 EA ceiling will not only be high, but so high that you wont even compare it to regular casual builds.

This is in fact the reason I considered EA at first place. To play those broken cheesy builds, that you will not see again after release...

If you think even for a second, that PoE 2 will be way too different than PoE 1, you are mistaken.

Yes, there are many improvements over PoE 1. (My favorite is the piano-playstyle is gone) Yes, there are some mechanics altered.

But when you look under all that it all comes to one thing - passive skill tree and gear. Nothing else matters really.

Dodge roll? Perfect timing? Meh. Best case scenario - wont matter much. Worst case scenario - will introduce new element of "assisting" software. (A.K.A "Hacks") And THEN it wont matter much.

To know what to build, where to go, what to farm. This is what matters.
The same people that design 1, design 2.
