DO NOT make your own build in EA

As everyone is pointing out, it's fine to make your own builds. The OP is trying to start a POE 2 builds YouTube channel and is hoping to get out ahead of the big name players. Do your own thing, make your own builds, avoid YouTube and especially new YouTube channels that pop up specifically for Poe2 builds. It'll give you time to learn and create for yourself and have fun.

" No he's pointing out the fact of PoE is built around 1%. If you don't have 3 million damage don't take on the shaper. Because 3 million damage exists well bosses have to be readjusted. Do you have 250,000 damage when you enter map level 1, no? Oh then you can't finish those maps. You have to reach that by getting the item properties from level 90 gear that you get in map level 10s so you're ready for your first map. Because the game was balanced around the 1% getting to point A. Then everyone suffers. If you don't run what others run you won't be able to do anything beyond the 5% of the game that is the campaign. So when the "game starts" at maps, you've now beaten PoE2. Congrats, biomass the character and make something else in the game because you won't have the ability to do anything unless you copy others. |

I will make a lightning bell monk without following any guides.
It's posts like this that make me dislike gaming companies and their need to bolster streamers by offering ingame rewards for watching and even going sofar as to put paid rewards for subs. The whole point of the game is to challenge myself with seeing how far i can progress and not copying someone else's build. Somewhere down the road when a season is close to ending i might take a look at a guide to see where i could tweak my choices for the next season. |

" Are you truly capable of discovering it? Are you absolutely sure that you will see much more than white maps, running your build? And even if you are, are you sure that other people who make their own builds will manage? Because, I have my doubts... Also, no one is telling you to "follow" influencers. You can check the forums. You can just talk to someone in game who is doing well. I played this game for years, and I am yet to meet a person, who will not give me link to the build he is using or the PoB of the character itself. |

" Why streamers man? What, in the gods names, even hinted in my post, that you should watch streamers? I am not watching anything. To get a decent build, you do not need to watch stupid videos explaining you how to right click. There are decent players right here. (You can actually steal builds from non-private profiles). There are good guides on the forum. And clicking one PoB link, to check in the web app takes 2 seconds. Holy ... |

" i find it absolutly disgusting how many people try to milk poe2 at this point, i spend alot of time on youtube during downtime waiting for new leagues or in todays case, waiting for poe2, and i have to blacklist so many channels that are freshly created, no established followerbase and then the audacity to produce videos like: x will be so overpowerd, this is what you have to do" or "best poe2 starter" or my absolute highlight "my plans for poe2 ea (2 follower) 30 minute vid" |

I'm confident my first build will be abandoned before I reach maps, but second one will be good. Not the best, but good enough to farm some currency to fund something better.
For sure I wont wait for streamers to post their build guides. |
