I think the developers don’t read the chat, but... (First Impression)

"Those things don't happen because a dev forces you into a chair and to make a certain build."

They absolutely do. If you want to do simus you need to run something that has enemy crit solved. If you want to do big bosses you need to run something that has elemental pen solved. If you want to do everything you need to have everything solved and only a few builds actually can squeeze in all the necessary defenses and still have the necessary damage.

When it comes to very endgame its all "just counter design cheese with mandatory counter-cheese" at this point.

I've had success with adjusting my build with gear/passive/gem swapping to adapt to different bullshit content but its annoying at best.

It simply doesnt feel good to be fine and dandy in maps to then be deleted by shaper balls cause devs decided that he got resist pen. Its a lazy way to force players to get yet another defensive layer that wasn't necessary in predecessor content.

And majority of us isnt Ben, we get hit by shit sometimes and sometimes we get hit by shit a lot.

I would be fine if top end content was just for best players to flex, but as long as that content has exclusive drops its just nonsense.

How many builds in hands of average player that reaches ubers would be able to clear them if GGG removed endu charges, suppression and divine flesh tomorrow?

That's actually not true because you can pick up any ability of your desire and make a decent build out of it viable to clear every content just fine. Is it going to be the perfect pick for content x like build y? Nope, but you're not forced to play build y in order to enjoy the content.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.
So far this league I made...

3 builds that dont have any guide at all out there. And they can do all content in the game.

Bleed ES
Bleed Heavy Strike
Bleed pure physical spectres

Just gotta know what you're doing!

Like Johnathan said in the interview, "then yes in this case it becomes a skill issue"

Barely squeezing by on hit based fireball after 200 hours of farming necessary gear wont be any fun. Especially when you know there are skills busted enough to do it week 1 on fraction of gear. Its not a question of is it possible or not but a question of would it by any fun to do that to ones self.

Hit-based Fireball is lit man (lit-erally). Played it back in Synthesis and might just do it again now that you reminded me. Shouldn't be difficult to squeeze out a viable build either, the skill has never disappointed me

Looking forward to your uber fights videos.

Sure thing man I've been goofing in PoB for like 10 minutes and it's looking solid. Can DM you the build if you're legitimately interested

Yes, do show.

Something is kinda sus if you need 200h to beat the campaign to jump into maps.
In today's Poe white and yellow maps are basically free and you can run those with random campaign ground loot.
Red maps are going to be harder for some builds but you get enough random ground loot during your atlas progression and crafting materials to reach the end of t16 and the Pinnacle boss fights also without 200h of playtime.

200h would be 40-50 days of pretty casual playtime, pretty absurd and unreal number.

You can pretty much destroy the entire base game content with every ability in week one ground loot gear while being on slacking mode. That alone gives you access to all content and enough resources to gear up for Ubers in a reasonable time. But yea Fomo is a big issue for some as we all know, but that's a player issue and not a game issue.

I don't know about you but I do like to play various different abilities and builds with each league and test out new stuff that suddenly become possible with the changes or additions of each new leagues.

Some do play the same BiS top tier build and league starter back to back for several leagues but I find that rather boring as it gets old pretty quick, but each on their own.

This is kinda close to what I was doing back when, just ported from Trickster to Inquisitor and using some more modern uniques / setups: https://pobb.in/EWMDD_s0Goje

Other than that you can look into Fireball mines which I have also played before and for which I can VOUCH that it performs well.

You won't find build guides for this stuff because it isn't meta but having a projectile base that explodes gives lots of ways to build around & scale.

I can guarantee btw that this build would kill all ubers without fail. Having decent DPS and boss knowledge is everything required to take these on
