what year is usually the question as poe was different 2012 vs today.

poe2 changes stuff around and will have a different way to deal with various power creeps as it also depends on how the game was set up to be played.

Looking at melee for poe2 seems much better than, poe1

People keep drawing the false equivalence between Ruthless and PoE2 like it's not easily disproven.

Yes, Ruthless is slow.
Yes, PoE2 is slow.

But Ruthless is more than just slower gameplay (at least until you are geared up and blasting)

It means no crafting bench
It means support gems are drop only
It means all league mechanics are nerfed heavily
It means your ascendancies are nerfed
It means auras are crazy rare, and Deter/Grace are nerfed

And much more.

PoE2 gameplay will be slower, but more methodical. There will be heavier emphasis on moment to moment instead of clicking one pack after another. They are reimagining crafting and putting more emphasis on loot.

You'd have to be very disingenuous (or uninformed) to draw that equivalence

it isnt copy of diablo 4 it aint even close to what diablo 4 is dont even try to compare garbage to actual good game most people will be playing PoE 2 becuz entire effort will be put in PoE 2 development

I have one, very simple question

as a player who likes poe 1 and its fast-paced gameplay a lot, why the hell would I prefer poe 2 over poe 1, when it's clearly way slower than poe 1 and it's meant to target a difference audience?

if I wanted "slow and meaningful" gameplay, I wouldn't be playing poe 1 in the first place. I'd be playing diablo 2/3/4, last epoch or grim dawn. so why does ggg think their long-time supporters and fans will like poe 2?

This. I see not a single reasown why PoE veteran would swap to PoE 2. We stayed in this game for so long for a reason and that reason is gone in PoE 2.
