No hardcore events? What?

There's a lot of HC haters out there lol i'm wondering why

TOTA was the biggest league for me in terms of time spent in the game. I only play HC (HCSSF past year or two), amd i'm happy with performance of the game and all

Also i saw quite a few people that said in global that they were SC and tried HC and never gonna go back to SC because obvious reasons

My 2 friends play SC just because they're bad at the game and they still die in acts, otherwise they'd play HC because it makes it more meaningful

Still sucks i wouldn't hear any valid reasons on not doing HC events
Does it even cost more for them??? I thought they just click something on the monitor a few times and its done?
sure are some incredibly selfish petty and simple minded: "I don't play that mode so get fucked" takes in this thread.

Humans only giving a shit about themselves while trolling and rubbing in their thoughtless takes to others... classic.

Personally I only enjoy SSF and ruthless mode so I can commiserate with HC players. Oh well I'll just keep playing GGG's biggest competitor D4... D4 bad eh , but a little better, and apearently Blizzard isn't the only large corporation that can't get out of their own way. LOL.

Classic GGG always figuring out a way to twist the monkey's paw and for no explicable reason.
"only 10% of players care about melee" - Aesop's Fox if he was a GGG dev
"when you die in this game, typically you're getting one shot, you're dieing in one frame; almost always" -Ben_
The events have 5x exp loss and i think they are doing it to find some middle ground between SC and HC to have one event for all.

For sure there will be complains from the SC crowd that level 95 will not be possible for them this way and from the HC crowd that this is not a real HC mode.

Anyway i am interested in seeing how 5x exp loss will work out, so absolutly okay for me to try it this way in an event.
I mean we did have (almost?) entirely ruthless events one or two leagues back, it's just fair that SC get's more attention this time.

The community is nice and tight, with no scammers or douchebags. When you see a fellow player, you know they're the real deal and not some scrub shit who died a million times. There's actual consequences for failing. I play HC and only HC

Claiming the community is nice, while also calling non-HC players scrub shits, doesn't make your "community" look very good. So, please keep playing HC, so we don't have to deal with you.

I'd rather play with better people than better players. While there are some scammers and douchebags in SC, proportionally there's not a lot. I suspect the proportion of arrogant and elitist a-holes to be much higher in HC.

lol hc, the dead mode close to nobody gives a f about same as ruthless or ssf

I honestly think they are testing 50% xp loss
Or its a social experiment for figuring out if they need extra modes on PoE2. Maybe having those 3+ checkboxes isnt shiny enough anymore.
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

How can they test that though? GGG won't really know how many people want HC unless there's a HC option.

He is refering to the 50% exp loss as a potential 4th option.
I couldn't care less about no HC events. I can see why it's a bummer for HC fans, but in a 7 day event, I fail to see the big deal. Especially after seeing so many HC fans praise TOTA, a mechanic where you cannot die(?).

What I do care about, though, is the 50% XP penalty. It intrigues me, positively. And I'm very excited to see how the community will receive it. How many glass cannon players will go on as usual, dying every other second and hate the mechanic? And how many players will actually adapt and make their builds a little bit more well rounded?

I'm a bit burnt out on PoE these days, and blame some of that on the lackluster news about PoE 2, which took away a surprisingly large amount of my motivation to play PoE. So I don't really know if I'll be playing. But a big XP penalty and Sentinel? Maybe...
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
