Frametimes & multithreading 3.21.2 => 3.22 => 3.23

Following this reddit thread

Ported to h/o, waited 30-60sec for assets to load, frametimes graph looks like this and game feels stuttery

Turned multithreading off

Works only in hideout, when i tested that in delve in dense-combat intensive-laggy harbinger node, it was worse with single core/thread.

Could this be part of the issues brought by "engine improvement" patch?

4670k, 1060 6gb, 8gb ram, samsung 860 ssd, win7
dx11 render, triple-buffering disabled, most other settings on "low"

UPD possible solutions

cpu latency and frametime spikes are caused by cpu cores sitting in energy saving state

1. custom windows power plan with cpu energy saving features turned off
(your cpu will run hot, maybe not as much under load, but should be noticeable for idle)

2. sounds silly, but any kind of background load helps to keep your cpu cores "awake". YT video or twitch stream will do the job.

I'm having similar issue with Engine Multithreading on. Really bad lag spikes every second, CPU MS fluctuating constantly, with any API. I7 2600k/rx5600xt. With "EM" off its not stable at 60Fps, with more than 10 mobs it's running around 50Fps or less with more NPC-s. It's not ideal to play on single core or whatever is the number of cores that engine is using without "EM"...
Yes, ever since the latest patch I've been telling users to disable multi-threading in an attempt to smooth FPS -- advice I picked up in the forums many leagues ago. So it isn't a new issue, but seems to be newly affecting people it previously hadn't been.

In my end, disabling multithreading make the game on maps worse like always on 30-10fps (only 60fps on hideout), this is not a good solution atleast for me. Doing normal blight events make the entire fps down to 15fps only, unplayable.
They need to revert the patch to a backup before the 6GB borked engine update asap.

3.21.2c update

looks like issue is still here. took some time for assets to load, screens are made in h/o.

4670k, 1060 6gb, 8gb ram, samsung 860 ssd, win7
dx11 render, triple-buffering disabled, most other settings on "low"

PS - vulcan is not playable for me after last patch, random crash in maps without any warnings/error msgs.
PPS - loading times are really sad

Try a lower target framerate perhaps.

Something like 25 is more appropriate so that the game doesn't drop resolution or do other desperate things to meet the target.
This is a thread about specific problem - frametime spikes with multithreading turned on.
You suggest to adjust target framerate? Despite clearly seeing on screenshots its disabled?
Dynamic culling is enabled in those screenshots.
