POLL: Did Exilecon increase or decrease your overall hype for POE and POE 2?

Overall decrease. I didn't watch anything, tho, but read the announcements and such. And saw the trailers.

POE2 looks pretty cool, great graphics and I hope they'll oneshot the super-duper-speed meta that's been rampant for years now. Way too early to tell, but I liked what I saw.

3.22 announcement left a sour taste in my mouth, very disappointing. Last league was almost a non-event, and now they're rehashing old leagues? Didn't care much for sanctum, so to have that back is bad news. Hopefully the league itself will be decent, but I'm just not very optimistic right now. We'll know more once the patch notes are out of course, but I worry all future league until POE 2 will be kinda half-assed. IMO, the last two leagues were (didn't play the 10 leagues or so before Sanctum, so can't say anything about those).

But we'll see. Maybe they manage to positive surprise us.

Shame POE 2 is probably at best 18 months away, cause that looked much better, and will hopefully play much better too, with more emphasis on balance between game systems or resources than is the case in POE.

Decrease. Crushed about 4.0 hype. PoE1 future hangs in the balance, a divided community, ultimately maintenance mode.

Kind of make me worried about the future of POE as a whole, with divided developer focus and a divided community.
General discussion gaming forums are almost always a cesspit of ignorance and trolls.
My hype level for poe before exilecon was almost zero, while I was watching it hype level was around 50% but then it fallen back now it's around 10%. Which means maybe I'll play next league, but I highly doubt it.

My hype is mostly down because now that they said they have a very small team on poe1 I don't expect anything from it anymore.

Poe2 is too far away to even bother with it.

Yeah, they pretty much said: "Forget about today, everything will be fine tomorrow". But they still want us to play :P

Well, the proof is in the pudding, as they say.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
I legit cried watching the Exilecon announcement that we won't have a unified endgame.

Biggest betrayal by a game developer in my entire life, Bigger than even Blizzard and Bethesda combined.

That was the idea, We were suffering for a long time but the content would return to previous development levels once PoE2 was released.

fuck.

when i heard the announcement, my heart dropped. i was legit asking myself. this is a big deal, is it not?

i was in denial and kept watching everybit of the exilecon. trying to find scraps of hope.

the more i understood poe2, the more i understood why it had to be made separate.

but understanding the whys was not enough.

it still is a betrayal.

i have accepted i was betrayed.

i probably will still play poe1.

i probably still might buy supporter packs. but my wallet probably will be tighter than before.

No interest in any cons.

Don't get hyped about anything. Just enjoy what I have.

PoE2 is some year(s) away. Will be massively changed and might diablofy more (dodge, MMO elements etc). As of right now, I feel PoE1 leagues have more hype.
