What happened to One Game - Two Campaigns?

Looks like they made a new game but still kept some of the old clutter ingame while separating the player base with two different games. Also POE 2 has lots of copy cat from D3 ,Wolcen and Dark Souls (with i-frames) by the looks.


Imagine how confused racing and streaming content now looks like in the future with 2 game clients.

One plays the old outdated shite (POE 1) and the other the actual relevant shite (POE 2). Not sure how that will work out.

So haters can't say 'pOE 2 iS nOt A nEw GaMe' anymore?

Personally I think it's a win-win. Now both games can go their own separate routes, and PoE 2 will not be bound by the limitations of PoE 1 - for example, whether to slow the game down or keep it as zoom-zoom as POE 1. And people can just enjoy whichever version of the game they like - or switch between both.

does this mean no more HH or mageblood on new poe2?

I'm sad to say that it looks like Diablo IV at this point. Granted there is much more to learn about PoE 2, but I'm not optimistic based on what I've seen thus far.

Not watching it myself, what about stash tabs and mtx then? if there will be 2 games, do they expect us to pay for the same thing twice?

they already said that mtx will carry over

I am at a complete loss of words.

So all that supporter money went into a complete separate game for D4 players.


I hope POE 1 gets support and patches.

PoE 1 will be kept on life support for a while, but it's definitely not getting the same love as PoE 2.
