Philosophy Two: Players should fight fewer Rare Monsters at once, but they should be more challenging and rewarding
- I do not understand why this should be the case, it's not a Souls game where you have well telegraphed attacks, patterns and TOOLS to counter. Basically now rare mobs are killing you instantly even from off screen, or you have to kite them in circles. That's not challenging combat and i don't think you can take this mindset into an ARPG except bosses. Bosses are not fun because of the monster mods they have, they have special skills, patterns even visual and sound signs for their attacks. Archnemesis was fun for me, when you had the choice to engage and WHAT to engage.

Also it now feels like D3, when you only have to kill elites to get meaningful loot. That's not what PoE is about, the most fun in Path of Exile for me is the number of enemies on the screen i can destroy, and the CHANCE that any of them could give exciting reward. The "map juice" and map tiers can also adjust the difficulty of this playstlye, which means that every type of player can experience this fun aspect. It's now gone...

It's pretty obvious that GGG keep trying to slow down the game, cutting peak player power to create room for improvement in the future, both balance and performance wise for PoE 2. It is clear that PoE 2 is not ready and not designed at technical levels for these kind of monster numbers and speed. But if you taking away the fun, the core aspect of the game in PoE 1 to make players accustomed to 2 then there won't be anyone left to try it out.

If they have knowledge and spend thousands of hours and thinking about strategies and get more and more knowledge what and when craft to earn fast money , just WHY NOT ?
So after this disaster of a launch, you still trying to play "groups are normalised, solo alch & go is fine" card?

Big/main issues with removed "filler" crafts also not addressed - keep pref/suff, socket colors, jew implicits, etc.

Well sounds good, but i hope some change happen fast, and your second philospy are concerning, we are not playing dark souls. most of us play the game to zoom zoom
1. TBH as a regular map consumer, not much of a PoE power gamer or mirror collector, I haven't noticed any radical drop reductions. I'm starting to think that the whole issue has been exaggerated by spoiled streamers. Who cares if no-lifes playing a game 12h per day get 20c or 200c net income per map?

2. Regardless of (1), release of this patch is AGAIN confirming how badly is PoE dev team disconnected from the real game and our community... :/
Im trying to come up with something to write about this MASSIVE change in gameplay feel. But what is the point they wont change their mind and it is set in stone now.

im just going accept it and let the game fizzle away into non existence like so many other shit f2p games.

The player base isn't you Chris. The core player base doesn't want to play the game you want us to play, the way you want us to play it. We want to play the game you gave us, that we had.

You've been double dipping on the pain button for years. But the community as a whole has either swallowed it, or worse, praised it. I'm just glad you've finally managed to prod too hard. Of course a lot of people will probably see this as a one off, or apluade your disingenous explanations. I am not one of them.

Pretty much knew the people crying about a 90% nerf were just full of crap parroting some whiney streamer because they can't get 10000 uniques to drop per anymore. Loot drop barely felt any different from my own experience and that of my friends. Game economy is in a much healthier state now.
