[3.18] Gryph's Tank Simulator - A Detonate Dead Ignite Elementalist

You don't need phantasmal unearth until well into reds. Just use a 21 normal quality unearth.

I'm expecting to do arma brand/wave of conviction through white maps even, then making the switch with e.g +1 gems on gloves, 21 unearth (or, hell, 20 is OK), +3 unearth on hat, enhance, empower, and I guess obliteration wand and then incandescent heart if I can get the chaos resist.

Shouldn't be too tough, empower is the most expensive of those items, and we don't care if it's corrupted already, so I guess it'll be under 30c. Total cost is likely <40c on day 1. Perhaps even fan the flames by this point.

Of course, still needs berek's respite and aegis aurora to play properly, which will triple our costs early on, but then we're into the normal upgrade cycle, then eventually saving for thread of hope.

I mean, yeah you can use regular Unearth but it definitely is a far cry from Phantasmal. A level 24 Unearth (84 corpse) is 49,413 life or 2,965/4,447 base fire damage for DD/VDD which is still pretty substantial in its own right.

We'll see! :D
40% more corpse life, so 40% more damage, is equivalent to adding a (good) support gem link - this is a good build, and we can afford to be 'missing a link' for white maps.

I'm 90% sure it'll be fine, but I'll test it out today.

Ok, janky tests using whatever I had available. None of these but the last had the helmet enchant.

Can we do white maps with arma brand & wave of conviction? Yes
Can we do white maps with a 19 normal quality unearth & tabula? Yes
Can we do yellow maps with 24 normal quality unearth & tabula? Yes
Can we do T11 maps with all gear but 24 normal quality unearth? Yes

For the first, we'd need to do the normal thing where we make sure each item slot is a 1c item, not the blue belt I found in act 2.

For the 3rd, I used the support gems I levelled through the campaign, so they were a few levels under where you'd be at that stage normally.

Also for the third, it shouldn't be hard to get to 26 unearth by now: 21 (normal) unearth, +1 gem gloves, empower 1, +3 corpse on hat. So really a 23 unearth, but corpse level is equivalent to 26. I just picked 24 because that's what I could easily reach with available gear.

For the last - it was trivial, so it's almost certainly fine to do it without all the gear, particularly if we're getting into higher level unearth. +3 on gloves, +2 from empower, +5 from hat, and we're up to 'effective' 31 unearth.

Oh, and by 'all the gear' I just mean 6L incandescent heart, obliteration wand, berek's respite, aegis aurora, fan the flames. And of course, this is pre-ignite nerf.

For testing you can remove a support gem from the setup to simulate the damage nerf.

I ran around in some T16 US maps with no explodey, an Ashcaller, and a base quality unearth (level 87 corpses) and it was totally fine. Ran a level 1 unearth just to see and it was bad until something died. Which is a nice takeaway. DD still great as it scales off of monsters in the zone. :P
What do you think the best bang-for-buck option is going to be to streamline mapping? Obliteration and just Unearth + DD? Or a Fire Burst weapon and Shield Charge + Bereks?

I'm guessing that fire burst charge + berek's is probably the way to go?

Hell do you even really need that? Looking at my super budget build in PoB Unearth itself has like 70k + ignite DPS which should clear white mobs pretty good on its own and just DD on magic packs/rares?

Or just Flame Dash and proc Fire Burst with Unearth and not need Shield Charge at all?

Obviously I'm going to eventually try all this stuff out and see what I prefer, just wondering on your thoughts for what I should go for early on when I have a constrained budget.

Also thoughts on Emberwake? Worth using earlier on for single target and swap out later when you have better gear? Not worth it at all?

I've used Emberwake for damage and it's okay. The thing that sucks with it is it's worse for clear with explosions and flame surge burning ground.

Fire Burst got nerfed pretty hard so I wouldn't even bother. Just get a good weapon for DPS/Obliteration for explosions.

For mapping, Obliteration+Fan the Flames cluster should be ideal and just cast unearth+DD as needed. Or just...Berek's Respite+Ignite Proliferation. Really depends on how fast you want to go. Either setup is good tbh.
How much are we anticipating Berek's Respite costing in SC trade if a large volume of people decide to play Explosive Arrow?

Eh, it's usually somewhat expensive. 20-30c iirc. it's not exactly NEEDED it's just very good.
This build looks quite fun im looking for a build for league start.
