[3.19] Boneshatter Jugg - Cheap to start with room to grow. Fast mapping/Endgame boss videos
" Thanks, and no worries! I can tell you know what you are doing and it wasn't a personal attack. But, if you really want to help out peeps, please take the time to evaluate their particular setup and point out things they may be messing up, not just say "yeah I agree the build is squishy" to some poor guy that may be new to the game and doesn't understand the nuances, yet is now going to walk away thinking "damn, this build (as a whole) is squishy, maybe I should switch to something else.", when a few suggestions might have improved his experience significantly. That's all... Really this is no biggie. Maybe because I am verbose people assume I am upset, but I assure you I am not. |

I intend to play this build but I have like -71 chaos resist how can you make it to end game?
|
|
" I'm not sure what you mean. Being under chaos res cap doesn't prevent you from completing anything endgame. Maybe a tougher time with The Feared/Chayula, but that's about it. Personally, I pretty much ignore my chaos res and am always undecap, but if it bothers you, I listed Chaos Res focused options in the 3.16 gear section: FYI, that Unset ring you are using with lightning/cold damage does nothing. We run Brutality, so we don't do any elemental damage. You can drop Maim and move Enduring to that slot so you can fit in an Amethyst ring. There are also a couple of slots for rare jewels where you can get more chaos res. And you can also switch ascendancy from Unbreakable to Unrelenting. GL EDIT: You can also run Arakaali + Shakari Pantheon EDIT2: Just noticed you have CWDT + Hydrosphere, but no Melee Splash and without that Hydrosphere does nothing. I have to say (and apologize if needed) that my intention was not to misinform anyone about the build. I came from a molten strike jugg and that thing could eat nails. Sadly - its damage was pretty low so it wasn't much fun. In that regard this build does feel a bit squishy. And i think anyone who played that build before will agree (at least to some extent).
Having said that - I haven't had this much fun with PoE in years. The game again feels fast, rewarding and killing stuff makes you feel so powerful. It took a week or two to start feeling comfortable with the build mechanics. The only thing i was missing to make it truly shine is the banner placement when the boss/metamorph fight starts. That really helps a lot and i'd opt for that rather than gem swaps. For heavier maps i tend to run with melee physical support instead of melee splash. That seems like the best balance between fast clearing and single target damage. For extremely hard bosses - empower goes in instead of ancestral call. Now, I only play standard so over the years i collected tons of uniques and was able to test some of the recommended items. Null and void gloves - the whole place looks like fireworks when you start using them and I'm not sure how that scales the damage. Arn's Anguish belt - that thing really adds a lot of damage but being a jugg without endurance charges is pretty risky business. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have tons and tons of armour and capped res. Chains of emancipation - free rage pretty much all the time and curse immunity. It really helps a lot with maps where you're cursed with enfeeble/vulnerability. Not to mention all that rage that just keeps coming. Headhunter - obviously great for fast mapping/heist but Ryslatha's coil is by far the best in slot here. Yes, HH is an awesome thing but i prefer Ryslatha's with this build. It's simply that good. Much better survivability with it. Some of that end game gear tends to be expensive but it pays off to have patience and search for items every day. I was able to get my Marylene's fallacy with additional curse corruption for 1.5 ex (the cheapest one was 40ex before). Everyone's probably struggling with chaos res. I got myself an Amethyst flask that removes burning on use and gains one charge every time I crit. It's set to "used when charges reach full". That way it's on all the time. Getting more chaos res on ring/body armour/jewels shouldn't be that hard. Again, this build is beyond amazing. Mapping is super-fast and then when I reach the map boss I just plase totems and the banner and start berserk. They usually fall down in 1-2 seconds. Multi-stage fights can be trick sometimes (because you run out of rage and banner stages) but apart from A8 Sirus I haven't found anything else that I haven't killed. Will probably try Maven tomorrow and then Simulacrum. And I'll try Sirus again now that i finally have more chaos res (a bit over 0 at the moment, was at -71 a week ago). |

" Nahh no worries! I apologize if you thought I was upset. My mind races and I tend to go on diatribes, but it doesn't mean I'm pissed or anything. And yes, I understand what you mean about it being squishy compared to builds that focus on survivability a lot more. My personal playstyle has always been: kill before getting killed, so I always prioritize DPS over defenses. The other thing is my approach to leveling. Frankly, the game has gotten so incredibly rippy, that trying to level while actually playing the game is just asking for frustration. So, what I do is get to around lvl 90 actually playing the game and then switch to running Beachhead/Coward's Trial/Breachstone ROTAs in /global 820 until I get to level 98, at which point I don't care about dying/getting one shot because I never go for 99-100, also because I know I can complete maps/encounters within the given portals, so a death here and there doesn't matter and I opt to neglect Chaos res in favor of more DPS. And you're spot on in your assessment of the belts. Ryslatha's is king! Especially if you get it enchanted for the double heal. Corrupted Marylene's was a victim of success. People were pretty much ignoring it until streamers/popular builds started using it along with Panopticon. I literally bought my +1 Curse for 5c at league start... Unforntunately, this stuff happens when neglected items/skills all of the sudden become popular. I'm glad you are enjoying it and thanks for the well thought out feedback! GL |

" Thanks man I've got a question for you. Got myself a body armour that generates power charges and it seems to be working just fine so i don't need Power Charge On Crit with Leap Slam anymore (I've removed it and still getting charges as expected). Is there anything else I could combine with LS instead? |
|
" Ya absolutely, just drop the Power Charge on Leap. You can do Faster Attacks, Life on Hit, Block Chance Reduction, Chance to Flee, Blind, Culling Strike (Since we don't have 100% Crit chance, sometimes Mary won't Cull and this would guarantee it), Maim (if you don't have it already on Totems. Can also move it from Totems and buff totems with Multi-totem or Brutality, melee phys, etc.). I'm sure there are others, but that's all I can think of for now. EDIT: btw, your profile is fully locked, so I can't see what your toon looks like. Just in case it wasn't on purpose; all good if u wanna keep it private, of course. Hi, thanks for the guide! I have been following it to the T.
Would like to check why you chose the jewels with "Cannot be hindered" and "+10 power charge duration". Given a choice, would you change it for something else? Also, is there a reason you didnt choose the 40% damage increase for boneshatter jugg helmet? Last edited by littlebitofkindness#5186 on Jan 2, 2022, 3:58:18 AM

" Sweet, you're welcome! These stats can really just be ignored. The Power Charge duration was just what I got from Harvest. It's nice, but you won't notice it. The Hindered I think was just cheap enough and I carry all my gear to STD for future build testing. 40% Boneshatter is fine, but we scale with Replica Wings mostly through Attack Speed, and that AS also makes Leap Faster, so it just feels better IMO. Feel free to use 40% BS thought, it works perfectly fine! GL EDIT: You're right though, it should be listed as an option. I added it to the 3.16 gear section of the main post. thx Last edited by corosou#7048 on Jan 2, 2022, 1:05:22 PM

Hi! Thanks for the reply!
Uh, do you have any issues with resistance? As of now I am at -31 Fire -39 Lightning and -60% chaos resistance after equipping the thread of hope. Last edited by littlebitofkindness#5186 on Jan 3, 2022, 7:38:24 AM
