Not quite sure where I went wrong, but something about the build feels VERY squishy. PoB below:
https://pastebin.com/y8nwWt2h Basically, damage is alright, but I can just get ripped into pieces if I even get hit by a bigger enemy. I just got one-shot by the big bone rhoa in delve. I feel like I hit all the life nodes I need, and I'm about to grab that Unnatural Instinct socket, but...am I missing something here? Would really appreciate any help or insight from anyone. :) Otherwise, this is my first melee build and it's...really fun. I'm super surprised by how fast everything goes. |

" I would agree with you for a jugg it is squishy. the upside you get zerker damage and we are not as squishy as zerker and we don't have to worry about being stunned. also as you get better gear being squishy does not matter as much as bosses die in a few seconds. If you want you can go axe/shield and pick up some shield defenses but your DPS will suffer. there is a voices build that use 6 Doedre's has great defenses and crazy DPS but I bet this will get nerf bat next league |

Yeah, the damage is great but the build is squishy. I wouldn't recommend it for delve nor for any map where there's a chance of significant chaos damage. And definitely wouldn't recommend Lab contracts in heist.
Before this build I've been playing Molten Strike Jugg for a very long time and that thing was tanky. But its damage was really bad. This build is quite opposite. But despite being oneshotted every now and then - it really is fun to play. Map clear speed is just crazy. And when you get used to its mechanic - the bosses fall down very fast. I replace Melee Splash and Ancestral Call with Melee Phys dmg and Empower for bossing. That helps a lot. What also seems to help a lot (if you don't want to switch gems) is placing the banner when the boss fight starts. That makes them fall down really fast too. EDIT: Just tried Sirus A8 again now. Couldn't finish him. With my Chaos res at -70, no wonder... Last edited by Spelac#2601 on Dec 29, 2021, 6:00:02 AM

This build definitely benefits from an amethyst flask. Really don't ignore it, it'll take your chaos resists from negatives to positives.
I'm fairly comfy with t16, but my single target suffers a bit. I've managed to find 5ex, so I'll be looking to upgrade, maybe to a second replica wings to flip back and forth between single target and multitarget capabilities. dunno yet! We will see what I can find! |

Fellas fellas, the build is squishy? Seriously? I dunno what you people are expecting here, tbh...
I posted videos for you to judge the tankyness. Since when did a build that can face tank T16 Abaxoth with nasty mods start being considered squishy? When I look at the toons of those complaining about tankyness, they have obvious flaws that have nothing to do with the build itself. No bottled faith, no amethyst flask, no lion's roar, no instant-heal flask, double quicksilver flasks, deviating from the tree I recommend, using gear I never listed, Abyssus with shit rolls, etc. In the 3.15 gear section I list an alternative to Abyssus, so why not use that? Why not invest in a Bottled Faith? Why not use Lion's Roar? Why not use the survivability focused flasks instead of the dps focused ones? Why not enchant your belt? So, frankly, if you don't understand exactly what you are doing, you don't follow what I recommend, you haven't acquired the gear I call for, you make changes to the tree, and generally do your own thing, isn't it a bit unfair for you to blame the build guide itself? Especially in a league with an endlessly escalating damage mechanic. If you can't afford some of the items I call for, that's also not the builds fault. The title says "cheap to START with room to GROW" it doesn't say "spend the bare minimum and get the same results I show in the videos". I put a lot of fucking work doing in-game testing to make sure the builds I make are as balanced as I can make them in regards to DPS/tankyness, but all that work means nothing if you don't follow the recommendations. You also need to understand that the bar to make endgame viable builds was risen to ridiculous levels with the wave of nerfs in the last few leagues, but by all means, if you think you can do better, please start writing build guides yourselves. Maybe that will give you a better appreciation for what it takes to create endgame viable builds now days. Either way, I am done fixing people's toons for this league. The guide and my 3.16 toon are all the information you need. GL Last edited by corosou#7048 on Dec 30, 2021, 10:05:29 AM

" Calm down woman... People are discussing issues they have with the build. That's what the forum is for. |
|
" I not saying there is anything wrong with your build at all. I really feel you have done a great Job. I did make some changes to suit my play style and lack og gg. I also came from a molten strike build that was super tanky but there was no balance at all. You have done a great job. I just got enough currency to add ancestral call and ancestral Echo. Holy totems Batman Well Done.. |

" Damn... that was pretty misogynistic. I have no problem with people having issues and discussing them. Just run through the pages and notice how many people I've helped out. What I disagree with is generic unsubstantiated statements regarding the build as a whole, such as: "Yeah, the damage is great but the build is squishy.", "I would agree with you for a jugg it is squishy." Especially when these come as reply to some poor guy that is just starting to put the build together, maybe is new to the game and doesn't understand the nuances, yet is now going to walk away with a distorted image of the build as a whole because of what you said. That is what I have a problem with. Because up until now I've taken the time to properly assess people's setup and point out issues I saw. Not just dismiss them with "yeah... the build is squishy". So, please, if your motivation is to help peeps, I would appreciate it if you took the time to actually evaluate their particular toon/setup, instead of making generalized statements that don't take into account anything. |
