3.16 is disappointing, more powercreep for the wealthy and no toning down of OP content

didn't read all of this because i'm going to sleep but I 1000% agree with the title. *edit* i do disagree with the op content part i don't mind op content but they haven't done anything to address getting to that op content. they lowered the amount of players doing that op content because there's more struggle getting to it. I used to be a 15% gamer but now I'm a casual and I hate it. what's funny is I deleted like 10 characters for this league LOL

this is 3.15 but this time you press v a lot more. everyone is just as weak or weaker until you get to awakened gems. What I personally liked about poe was that I could fuck around with mid tier gear for a while. get to t16's and do some other end game stuff then craft and buy popping off zoomer gear but now there's no in between, for me, and things aren't as rewarding and especially not as FUN as they used to be

the last 3 days will most likely be my last of poe... until i reinstall and play for a few days and regret then uninstall just like last league. but at least last league I lasted a few weeks. normally I put in a few hundreds hours. Oh well. was fun... til it wasn't.

That is what Harvest did. It got axed. Tells you a lot about the philosophy GGG has.


Of course items are the worst designed thing in PoE and anything that comes close to fixing that other than trading constantly can't be allowed.
The nerfs on skill tree and support gems instead of tuning down the high end items like the crazy boots with onslaught/tailwind/elusive mods from which only crit builds and the 1% profit anyway were an absolutely BAD DECISION.

At this point, it is pretty clear that it isn't a bad decision, it is a design philosophy.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

Yes, you can call it design philosophy or their 'vision' or whatever.

But whatever that is exactly we dont know. It might sound good in their head and is supported by streamers like hard mode is currently, but eventually reality sets in and you end up with empty servers (looking at you Path of Exile Royale, lol).

It's not a matter of competition between the rich and poor, slow versus the fast, but rather a matter of viability. Slow builds and poor players have been getting worse and worse with every nerf to players in the name of "reducing power creep" (yet that still exists for the rich, funny that) or buffing enemies.

Just take a look at strike melee builds in general. They're a joke, yet GGG is compelled to keep smacking them over and over again. In order for them to continue staying viable, they have to pump as much currency as they can just to remain relevant. Combine that with constantly adding more leagues with timers on them, it won't be much longer until it becomes a dead archetype nobody wants to use. It might as well be a meme at this point. Toxic Rain OP? Better nerf strike skills!

I don't understand this obsession with adding timers to everything. Speed clear builds aren't at all affected by them existing and can completely wipe out all Scourge mobs in a map, thus it only serves to punish players who are playing something slower or can't afford to make something stronger. It's not a matter of competition at this point. Slower and poorer players are simply being edged out of existence.

And yet people want to praise the game for its build diversity? Ha! Good one! The only diversity you're getting is whether you want to use Mageblood or Headhunter.

It would be nice if GGG added more rewarding bosses or something. Since Harvest and Beastcrafting got gutted, Maven's just not worth running anymore, and she's probably the best endgame boss GGG has ever released in a long time. The last time we had a boss league was Metamorph. There's so much untapped potential here, yet GGG would rather just keep fluffing up speedy players and time-gating everyone else.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.
Actually this is probably one of the best leagues for mid-tier players, since the most meta build (TR champ) is pretty cheap to get going and scourge is basically free iiq/iir for them without needing to play in a 6-man party with tons of expensive mf gear.

Idk if you've played since the patch yesterday, but with the doubling of scourge bonuses & removal of diminishing returns, currency/div cards/sextants etc are dropping like crazy now when you get stacks close to 200.
Toxic Rain Champ is the prime example of how messed up this game is.
Champion which should be used for impale and melee builds is used for Toxic Rain which he has 0 synergy with.
What a shitshow.
Pure Phys melee with Impale is just too weak and too expensive to be an efficient pick in this game.

Its all about gem level scaling gems.
26k armor, 83% phys resist, 10k evasion with 58 dodge, 61% spell surpresion chance, 4200 hp at lvl 81 (gonna improve) , i die every 1 or two nightmare in blue t5 maps with no mod , (like 13% reflect of elemental, and i do no elemental or other light mods). You guys remake defences, added strong masteries, but league mecanics and how defence work in general is still bad, baaad and very wrong. And every league u bring on monsters behavior and power creep of monster are way overline. No idea how GG test things, or how they have the ideas, but everyting is bad and amatorish. I squiped last league, and this one is even more bad that the last one. I goes from bad to more bad every league. Why>? thats the question. Not to mention that on most of builds, when investing in defence, u actually have some survability but remove anny way of doing the 'good' content because of the lack of damage or timed things or monster hp and power creep. Simple and good is not for GG, just bad and ultracomplicated, that's the idea behind everyting GG brings in last few year. Such a shame.
