Map drops need to be increased/changed

I wonder if the people here have ever played the game before map drops were ludicrously boosted? If you can't sustain a certain tier you run the one below it until you build enough of a library to jump upwards. For tier 14 you run tier 13, collect 10 or more tier 14 and then you run them. If you feel you can't sustain them - back dawn a bit and repeat. Its not even that slow of a process if you are clearing maps in 3 minutes or less. I am not swimming in tier 14+ maps either but this was the situation before Delve and people were still playing en masse.

I personally don't mind it. It is more exciting to see a map drop now.

Same here. They dont remember when we literally exalted maps to sustain. Always bought if traded. 78s white were an ex.

I'd just add 3:1 recipe to your post. I don't think anyone does that anymore either with alc and go luxury last few leagues.

Just buy maps if progression is slow. That's what i always did. Every league.

Buy a pack of 10 maps maybe 1-3 times to get self sustain going.

Trading should not be required for the core endgame loop.

It's not

You dont get to be 100 without 1500 T16s

No doubt maps were nerfed a tad and you gotta do more than alc and go tho.

The system was not designed to be a 'loop' at the top. I would love for the game to back to scarcity and value at the top, but you're right that now that conquerors and maven 10 boss fights are locked up there we can't go anywhere else but easy map sustain. Grimro has a video on YT if anyone is struggling. As long as you do your stuff right you can't possibly do anything but swim in maps.
For me personally, getting the atlas bonus quant as high as possible by doing harvest reroll maps, zana missions, unique maps etc is helping with sustaining t14-16s. Its def a lot worse than last league, but its possible. I actually started using sextants a lot earlier than I usually do and using cartography scarabs when I can. What bothered me was the stealth nerf without mentioning it anywhere in the manifesto/patch notes.

Is it this?

I looked at it, and most of it sounds like something that can be easily done if you're willing to buy maps or currency to juice them in order to sustain. This video does nothing to explain how to sustain maps in an Atlas you're still building watchstones on, which is the problem I'm at right now. I only have 16 watchstones and I'm either stuck at T12 or I'm outright losing maps, and Grimro's strategy is going to mean I'll lose currency on top of this trying to get maps.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.
Poor SSF player can't even reach t16 without trading... oh wait..

cant exacly remember when it was,but a few league ago ppl complained about delve map chests/alva tempel etc not droping maps

in the fix they eyplained that map drops roll the tier first and than pick a possible map from your atals from that tier
those chests didint drop anything because the rolled map tier had no maps available

maps outside of the atlas are now able to byspass this, amps inside the atlas cant

ofc this could be outdated, but as far as i know this is still the case

Thanks Ciel. Maybe I was just extraordinarily lucky last league, I had hundreds of Tier 14, 15s, and 16s, and I am far from a power gamer.

Will try the same strat this league and see what happens.

Did you hear and comprehend the part about map equity? That was something I didn't know about. Getting T1 then T4 then T9 maps off your atlas so they can't drop is enormous. It's on par with completion, map quant, and doing your side content. Those 4 things you can't go wrong.

I always take my time to 'build my base' pretty much not even touching yellow maps till I've completed the white ones and same for red. I'm in no rush to get where I'm going and as a result not only do I have a nice 'base' of atlas completion, I get nice little stockpiles of master missions and map currency for when I'm ready to push into the next tier.

Don't bother with that rationale, some will just say to you... "You're no lifing PoE that's why you can progress in SSF"... LOL
