I wish they'd just release it now. Alpha testers' comments about it really has me excited to play/test it!

Still tons of bugs and crashes. My alpha client crashes very regularly. I had to trek through the entire Prison six times in a row the other night because my client kept crashing in the Warden's Quarters. Also, not all the content has been implemented yet.

I have a question for alpha members, do you think 0.9.9 are gonna be bigger than 9.3?

I went back and reread the 0.9.3 patch notes and I had forgotten just how big of a patch it was. So many things were added and changed. That patch completely changed the game.

0.9.9 completely changes the game.

It's still scheduled to be released next week but you'll be hearing much more about the patch before then.

Carl just mentioned that this patch rivals 0.9.3 in size/impact. It's really quite impressive that they're changing so much in such a relatively short time since 0.9.8.
Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.
First in the credits!
...Being a sucky player at heart, I die to Merveil quite a bit. Frozen, whack whack, dead self.

Should I be concerned that an increase in difficulty might result in forcing me to be a little less creative with my builds and a little more dedicated to getting it 'right'?
https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.

Dispels Chilled/Frozen....find you a flask that does that or a couple of them for Merveil and that will help.

I second this. I never go into a fight with Merveil or Hailrake without at least 2 Seething Health Flasks of Heat.

Whenever I get Frozen, which is inevitable at least once, I tap hotkey 4 or 5 and I'm instantly released and healed. Very handy.

It's the first thing I devote my Glassblowers to.

Don't be too afraid. It's not that impossibly hard for hc atm.

I didn't even die for once with a lvl-30 marauder in Cruel Merveil encounter.

But my build at that level was obviously flawless except mid-level items.

So, HC players should really be HC and I don't see any problem with that. However possible difficulty reduction will appear before it goes beta.

He who fights with monsters
might take care lest he thereby
become a monster.

+1. That's exactly the impression I get even after just working through Act 1, god knows what Act 2 has in store :)

0.9.3 was a new game, no doubt.
0.9.9 has a comparable impact.

Dying, a lot. Which is good in many ways. I am re-examining my ideas on previously solid builds.

So many new bugs and ways to die, so little time :)
I used to be apathetic, now I just don't care.

i played hardcore first time i joined beta, and did not die till i reached the "cruel" difficulty (and there i died only cause i thought whit my new gear i am invicible^^)..

so i would love the game to get more challenging (not harder, or frustrating...challenging!)...

so chance is good. make it more
See you in cutthroat!

...and if you have one beta key left, i have a many friends that are waiting to play PoE.
