Well observed. Yes, that is a reality. I think it would be a great Bubbling Perpetual Game of Heat ;-)

They get the best of both worlds, selling tickets and calling it a beta. While I do not want a wipe (for selfish reasons) in this twilight status they are comfortably within their rights.

I sort of like this status. All the innovation of the designers is being put on the live game field and I get to try it all out. That is a novelty that would never get boring.

You are not purchasing beta access, you are purchasing a supporter pack which includes beta coins to purchase stuff through the cash shop (stash tabs, char slots, etc...). These packs include a Beta Key, but that is not what you are purchasing. They only began offering this due to demand from the player base during Open Beta Weekend.

Here to chime in a +1 for Diamond Flask rework. An additional 5-10% critical chance, 25-50% increased critical chance, or 25-50% increased critical multiplier would be my suggestions. Right now Diamond Flasks devalue the critical chance of other passives and gear instead of adding value to them.

Well we don't know. I'm basing my concern on what Chris said, I assume he's getting stuck into the harder fights and getting killed. If he's not able to get through a playtest without dying, that's going to spell some problems for hardcore.


I love this! I remember back when reflect first came out and highest on hc ladder was lvl 47. :P.

Sadly , after this week, I'm moving into my new house soon and I won't be able to play in a LONG TIME. :( going to be commuting an hour to work and getting my garden going! Friday will be my last day for a while. I hope I can test this patch if only for a day!

I will be back though. Not sure when.

Diamond Flasks definitely need work of some sort, and I like the idea of them adding a percentage boost instead of being guaranteed.

Avatar of Fire was too good when coupled with all the +elemental damage templar have access to. Removing the elemental options would hinder other builds, so removing AoF until fixed was the better option. You can still play an elemental-focused templar without AoF, so it was the right choice on the devs' part.

Players will surely find something new and overpowered in 0.9.9 that will be abused and eventually balanced :) People will cheer while others cry. It's the infinite cycle of balance/rebalance.

Correct (all forum mods are also alpha testers).
