Hello, I just come to laugh for a while.
Bye :D Bethesda is known for having good ideas and terrible realization of them. GGG is a Bethesda subsidiary or what?

" Don't think so. It mostly comes down to giving advice vs scolding. Both cases involve experienced players trying to help newbs. Of course it largely depends on the qualities of the post itself. If the newb is angry and accusatory the responses are not obliged to be nice. |

" That's a pretty honest observation about virtually any gaming forum. If OP had written a post with an inquisitive tone versus condemning the community... Yep, totally over league play.

There were other reasons why I stopped, not getting much advice was only one of them. Ik my opinion devs didnt do a good job concerning a number of things. For instance that it has elements of pay to win.
You can casually run through the story (atleast till you get to end game/atlas) and not really pay that much attention to perfect gear. If you want to actually enjoy that which makes the game really good imo (comparing the vast loot, crafting, maximizing your build, etc) then you will have a hard time to do anything without a considerable investment in terms of new tabs and especially currency tabs. You get soo much stuff, an insane amount of different currencies, shards of currencies, rings and amulets you might wanne use for stuff like chaos recipe, stuff you might want to sell....it is impossible to enjoy the game if you have nowhere near enough space for anything, without paying good cash. Ppl love the customization stuff and it looks pretty cool. I investes like 15 or 20? € so my cute little witch summoner looks more badass. But I know idnhabe to pay another 20 - 40 € to have enough tabs for proper trading, especially for curremcy tabs and premium tabs. If you cant spend that much youre in for one tedious and annoying ride to somehow stash the vast amount of different currencies. I had to spend a ton of time tryig to bring a tiny bit of order into my stash. You might all laugh....but im rearranging currency manually in the limited unupded stash. I actually did but one or even two more standard tabs but haha damn....thats just not enough on any level whatsoever. You need more. Ten times as much. And definitely specialized tabs. Maps alone take almost 2 entire standard tabs. I just drown in stuff and (youll laugh again) had to use different chars and their inventory just for storage only to spend massive amounts of time to shift through the chars and organize/retrieve/store currency, good loot, maps etc. I spend more time doing that than playing. So, without paying more you are in for one tedious ride. You have to get those tabs, a lot more, or the consequence/punishlent for not paying ggg more money will be = youll drown in a chaos of currency, maps, loot and you will be forced to constantly load into multiple chars/inventories. To me that just got so annoying after a while. Another thing which im almmost too embarassed to say: When i had just started playing for a few weeks a mirror dropped for me. At the time though I didnt know that it is an insanely valuable item. Something whih would have enabled me to get awesome gear, buy cool stuff. The game didnt tell me it has value. Only a grey one liner stating what a mirror does. Potentially powerful or insanely valuable items used to have a very specific sound or glowed or had this orange color like in diablo 2. Not all unique items (e.g. in diablo 2) were very valuable, but in poe it felt the game tried to intentionally mock me and screw me over. Just one simple one liner, just a few words even 'this is one of the most valuable crafting materials/currency in this world' and I wouldnt have just sold it to an ingame vendor. I had to get rid of a lot of stuff cause you just dont have enough room for anything. It didnt look valuable, it didnt glow or gave any hint that a mirror is insanely valubale. You can imagine I felt like a really stupid über idiot when I realized, a few weeks or so later, that I had just given away a fortune. At least for a casual/newbie 1 mirror is a fortune. I then stopped playing cause I felt the game just wants to screw me over. Ppl didnt even believe I had a mirror drop haha. I cant blame them. That experience killed the fun for me (sure, it was my mistake, i sold it afterall) for a pretty long time. I then came back after maybe a year or so and was immediately annoyed again for sinply never having enough room for nothing. Worried I might once again give away szper valuable stuff I took notes of some of the most valuable items in the game. Snd then (via trade macro) constsntly checked if the unique stuff that drops is valuble. It rarely is though. It just killed the flow cause I had to scan through the lists constantly and/or check via trade search. I didnt enjoy that a lot. It felt like a chore. Just like never having enough room for nothing felt like a tedious chore. In the end I said 'ok forget storage, forget the most valuable stuff that might drip, ill just enjoy making my one high level, pretty well equipped summoner a bit stronger over time and kill monster armies'. That was when i felt getting any feedback/advice on my build was as much of a chore as the other things. So, it wasnt only mimimi ppl dont answer me. That was just the last thing that I didnt like before I quit. I truely hope other games in the genre will not be like this. Not feel so much like pay to win/pay to enjoy or as much of a chore. |
