I've never raged at this game, but I'm getting there.
I started out back in Fall of Oriath and it was stated that 6k to 7k life was good enough to not instantly die.
I'm currently at 4.2k life and 2.2k energy shield. I keep getting instantly melted from just normal enemy in T13+. Chaos damage and projectiles seem to be the worst. Did something get changed? I was also told that chaos resistance is nice to have, but it seems mandatory now. Build I'm using: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1147951/page/1 I realize this is just another scrub whining, and I really don't want to be that. I'm just really frustrated that... 1. I instantly die before I can move skill out 2. I don't know what caused it Am I alone in this? It feels like the game just got overhauled, outside of just the metas and atlas bosses. Note: I'm not peeved about instantly dying to metas. I know what I'm getting into when I decide to fill in the body part drop bar. No, you're not alone at all, I was there.
I did manage to overcome the projectile thing bt keeping pots always active (buff ones) and focusing on capping elemental resistances. It went okay and now I'm stuck because t15 are super easy, T16 mobs are also easy but T16 bosses are nearly impossible, kinda raging now. |

Improve your build or play lower maps until you can do T13.
It is very simple. Last edited by Monkeyface#7689 on Jan 1, 2020, 6:38:59 AM

I feel like those defenses are lacking for red maps, and i dont think thats a bad thing tbh. with decent gear and build u should be able to clock in around 5k life + 5k es, if there wasnt content that required more than 4k + 2k that would seem problematic to me.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Chaos damage always hurts a lot if you're in negative res and playing a map or other area that happens to have mobs that actually deal chaos damage. It blows right through ES and wrecks that trivial 4.2k life you have going.
And projectile packs can hit you in such rapid procession from afar that it feels like you're getting one-shot. This is why shit like big packs of porcupines, constructs, or even bow-wielding skellies can be extremely dangerous for squishier builds. CWDT Immortal Call used to be very effective at limiting your vulnerability to such things, but not so much now after it got reworked. I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

" Translation: waste asstons of time and currency trying to minmax your gear, fail, and get stuck on a wheel of a dwindling supply of maps until you cheese a t13. |

If you are bad at making your own builds maybe look for help?

I hope poe2 will have a better curve as in seeing incoming dmg and having time to react to it. This style of taking 10 hits per sec, each taking 30% of your life with instant flask spamming to combat that is just so fucking stupid and belongs into a turbo arcade speed game for kids who have their twitch reactions blown out with a sugar overload...
Am I crazy for thinking this game would be so much better if you would just slow everything down and stop being so fucking lethal where we can't even react unless we keep smashing ten keys per sec on the keyboard? What happened to seeing your life ball slowly getting drained 5% vs trash mobs, 10% vs blue, 20% vs rares, 30% vs end game bosses, so we still have time to go "oh shit oh shiiit" and DO SOMETHING about it? This obsession with dark soul one shot bullshit is pure cancer and always has been in poe, because it DOESN'T FIT poe. |

Of course it does. The power creep is so insane and the ways to gain health back so numerous nobody will die from hits which take only 30% of their HP. Extreme boss scaling is required if there has to be any challenge.
