If they want to keep this "run terrible layout maps" thing they should change how div cards drop and rework each map. Too much trouble I guess so... easier is to give a dman stone/orb/dildo to introduce in ur as...atlas and make it possible to erase of existance some maps. Seriously some maps are just terrible loot and layout wise. Maybe some like it so let them in the game but let the rest of us choose to erase them too.
I'm at a point where I'm quite burned out already. And I've just 8 watchstones and barely reached yellow maps. Something that would've never happened with the old atlas.

I also don't know how to progress anymore now. I have 8 watchstones and 2 need to be socketed into any region to make another Conqueror spawn even possible. But as soon as I socket 2 watchstones, the maps tier is so high, I don't even have any of those maps. So progression has halted now for the last two days. Before that I had Conquerors spawn everywhere, but now... nothing, since I can't even initiate any further spawns.

I took some watchstones out again and put 1 into every region again, running lower tier maps now, in the hopes RNG gives me +2 mapdrops so I can work my way up with babysteps, without even having a chance to see another Conqueror... that's not really fun.

Furthermore, it's not even really working. I barely get any map drops, let alone +2.

I've been struggling to sustain red tier maps t13+ in the old atlas... but now I'm even struggling to progress at t6 upwards.

I still hope that it's not normal and I simply do something terribly wrong, but this feeling that the new system gives me - this feeling of being severely slowed down and hindered by RNG, much much more than before - is not something I like.

This situation where simply nothing is happening and there's no progress at all, would've never occured in the old system. There you simply had to run maps and eventually you'd end up in the middle and there would be guaranteed Shaper Guardians. You were always progressing naturally, even without much of a strategy, you'd complete the atlas after some time and end up at the bosses.

This is gone now. The new system just makes me feel totally gimped and helpless.

its completely retarded, didnt got anymore maps from the atlas anymore, have to buy them online but fuck off i have better stuff to do than chasing this donkey-carrot

the atlas now is just bad and sad and they dont even mind because sTrEaMeRs will always do fine since they can put 24/7 into this game

I'm a new player joining just this league so I don't really know what the Atlas was like before, but I still feel I want to vouch in, saying that the current one is.. a buzzkill.

As someone said a few replys back, I agree. I have about 10 watchstones, but I am bored playing the Atlas. I really found myself in a place that I had to buy maps from other players to progress forward, because it was just ridiculous on my own. I wonder how solo players are dealing with this or if they're satisfied.

Logically maps should drop from the same area I'm running the current map and from the same tier - that would be fine, but yeah.. running T10+ maps and getting T3 drops...

The game was all fine until the map tiering started and placing watchstones. My friends told me that Endgame is where the game begins. For me it just feel this is literally where it ends as I don't find the mapping fun at all and I see such a huge downfall in game progression at that point.
I am in a similar situation, 10 watchstones right now.

To get the number 9 and 10 I had to ofc first socket 2 watchstones in one region, which increased the maps from whites to yellows(even few reds in one region).
To trigger the influence I had to run T5+ maps in hopes of getting those "updated" maps from the region to drop since it seems you have to run the map in the current tier(upgraded by the watchstones) to trigger it.

So if you are stuck with having to run T6-10 maps to trigger influence while having only T1-5 versions of those maps, try running any yellows a pray to RNGsus to get those needed maps.

No idea if there is better method than this, I definitely hope so...

This reworked atlas is simply frustrating.

I did not play that much this league,as there were the holidays, however I'm already exhausted by the endgame. I feel tired and worn out by the constant grind.

The only way this can possibly be worse is to make it the same within the acts. So not only will RNG apply to endgame content, it will apply to progression within the acts.

Let us say you do upper prison 30 times because brutus will not spawn,or you have to keep doing "The Harvest" again and again and again dozens of times,because doedre simply will not spawn in the area,so even though you have 2 organs,you still need malachai's lungs to progress further to malachai.

But since doedre spawning is RNG based,just like influence and conqueror appearing on atlas influence, you will waste hours,possibly even days to finally get all 3 organs in order to defeat Malachai. Sounds like fun no?

I await the day that happens, I think 90% of the people will simply quit the game for good.

This is in my view one of the biggest problems of the new progression. The old Atlas system was intuitive and seamless because you just run highest available maps to progress to next tier. The progression was smooth as you climbed up the map tiers.
The new system, however, has significant bumps to map tiers as you socket more and more stones. First and second watchstone for inner regions, those close to the center of the Atlas, is fine but past that point you run into problem that maps jump higher than what you currently have.

Major oversight from GGG is that the system to spawn conquerors, and get watchstones, requires you to run maps from current tier to get the initial influence appear. This means that once you socket enough watchstones to get influence, you automatically miss maps required to get the influence to appear. 2nd and 3rd taunt is fine because you can run it on lower tier maps from the same regien, you just can not get the first taunt on lower tier map.

The above means once I socket watchstone to get new influence, I first need to run maps from other regions and hope to get drop on current tier in targeted region. Alternatively, I can fiddle with the Atlas to remove all watchstones from other regions to force the game to give me correct map from correct region when RNG decides I get +1 map. This is not very intuitive and it is also annoying after a while as you constantly need to fiddle with stones. It does not help the UI for this is horrible.

Yeah I'm at 12-14 stones and I have to put 4 stone now in most of my zone to spawn a conqueror, the problem is that it put maps at t12+ while I dont have any and like half my atlas is like t11+ and the other half is like t3+, its kinda shitty for maps.

I think I'm doign soemthign wrong, I thought about spreading th4e stone evenly except for the zoen I want to spawn the conqueror but everyone is telling me to put my awakening lvl up... It seem also you can hunt the conqueror on low level map but took me forever to make it spawn....


Running t8-10 yellow map is fucking boring when my character is already 90... ready to tackle t15 content.....


PS: Luckily I had a friend give me a bunch a low tier red, seem a bit better now.

A lot of people are having the same issue,yet I see nothing about it mentioned in patchnotes or something.

The old atlas was much better in terms of ease of access,and returns.

This one just overburdens you with info that could have been simplified, and not only that, it decides to mess with you since it decides that what you need to get to the endgame content, shall be held back behind a wall of dice rolls.

You might get lucky and influence spawns after your 5'th map run, or you might do 40 even 50 maps and see no influence,no conqueror,nothing.

Well,that's it for me till they fix it, I did 60 maps in total today, I tried 2 different locations. 1 with an orange influence, one without where I needed to spawn a conqueror for the watchstone.

Both had 4 watchstones, both had the correct T14-15-16maps done in order. 30 one side,30 other side. Beside wasting about 2 hours in trade for 60 maps that I did not have. I had a bunch of other T14-16 maps but since horizons won't help, I had to resort to trading. So 2 hours wasted on trading+the hours wasted on mapping.

I had no influence spawn in one side, and on the side where I had previous influence, the conqueror did not spawn again,not even once in a single map.
