Sirus fight is making me quit POE
Just here to sign this thread. I've beaten AL8 Sirus 2 Times now, but most of the fights I die because of him teleporting away and then die-beaming me to the radish from whereever.
Keeping track of him is too hard. The teleporting, the colors, all the stuff going on on screen. especially when you die once and have to come back again. or when the fight goes longer because you are not playing a fotm build, which can kill sirus in 3 seconds like on youtube lately. is GGG only designing for this clientage? i don't see a future in that. |

In the last reply in this topic I said I am uninstalling the game. I did that and did not play about 2-3 days.
After failing A8 a lot of times (5+) times, I took my char to lvl 100, got 6k hp and 3k es, max resses and close to max chaos res. I think I also gain fortify from my minions due to a node. I finally managed to kill him, and it was a deathless run. The next day I killed him deathless again. Today I killed him 2 times (died 4 times first fight, and 2 times last fight). I finally understand this boss and all the problems. You need: 1) Big dps, 2 million at least, but most likely you need around 4-5 million to do him comfortably. I have around 4 million with skeles, and 2 million with only zombies. Tried killing him with only Zombies but he just kills them in the last phase. (44k hp, resses, some chaos res, leech, regen, fortify zombies, they die) 2) Pinpoint accuracy and 2 mobility skills preferably. 3) Never, ever, ever lose sight of him cause that mofo will tp in the blink of an eye. DO NOT BLINK during the fight. Watch his every move as if you're watching a todler that's near sharp objects. 4) Turn off ALL sounds, except dialogue volume. Learn when to dodge by hearing his lines. The problems: 1) If you die once, prepare to die 2-3 more times. If you die once, he just goes the left. If you are fighting him close to the stairs, it's almost impossible to dodge him properly in the last phase because of the space. He summoned a corridor there and I couldn't see the end or the start of it. Good thing I can tank 3 of his corridor balls. 2) Lags and desyncs. I see the little red line showing that he tps to some place, and then he moves a bit by 2-3 cms. I had a lot of times where he summons his clones, when I see exactly where he is tping, I dodge acordingly when the beam comes, only to find out that he was somewhere else. Luckily I never got hit during that phase. DON'T try to get cheeky with him and dodge inside the circle. Go outside the circle. He will desync and shoot the beam from somewhere else. 3) Strain on the eyes. Hard to see him tp. I almost never see his first tp in every fight, I only realize where he is after my minions start chasing him. After the first tp though, I can follow him. Also I am almost NEVER prepared for the first cage. It blends so much with the background that I freeze for half a second not understanding what happens. 4) Last phase, for a reason unknown to me, the fight just decides to zoom in and you can't really see all of his tps. People with bigger monitors don't seem to have this problem if you've watched any of the streamers fights recently. 5) Unrewarding loot sometimes. I mean, it's the hardest boss in the game. Make him drop at least a basic watchstone or something. 6) Phase starting in the storm. Sometimes after the first phase, he just teleports inside the storm, and stays there for a few seconds. Good luck fighting him there. 7) Last phase middle of the rotating beams tp. In the last phase he sometimes tps in the middle of the rotating beams. Usually follows with a tp offscreen. It's close to impossible to see where he tps to when he is in the middle of the rotating beams. You just have to guess. For people that are demoralized and want a easy way out, do a max block gladiator. Look for highlights on youtube. You can tank 90% of his attacks. It's either that or get a redbull and prepare to play Mario for 3-4 minutes. Now, having killed him 4 times back to back, the fight doesn't seem that hard, but it still feels unfair. Good luck to all! Last edited by DannyNickCT#2239 on May 7, 2020, 8:54:50 PM

After so many tries I just killed him. Deathless. No idea why I didn't die but I am pretty happy about it.
What definitely helped me was turning the music off. Had no problem to hear him no matter what happened. "The Void" was never a problem but Sirus "Die" I sometimes just missed when it came shortly after the first beam. Might not be helpful for everyone but maybe for some of you. |

Tried the fight again on a8, killed him every time without issues before a8, now its a buggfest, sad disgusting experience that makes me vomit. Second time I recorded in order to follow my mistakes and watched it 1 portal was my mistake all others are completely out of control, off screen one shots, visual blocking, sirius camping a storm cloud, someone actually allowed this to go public and still keeping it broken.
I was playing this game after 2 years of break with passion and actually had a lot of fun but this is just wrecking experience. Teleport offscreen one shot ... everlasting fire ..... god this is hilarious the one responsible for this fight should be world wide famous |

I'd be interested to see the Chinese version, is it actually acceptable?

It's probably been said in this thread before, but getting bleed immunity against Sirus makes a HUGE difference. There are a few different ways to get bleed immunity and it feels damn nice to have: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Bleed#Removal_and_immunity It cost me an exalted or two to get a good Watcher's Eye with bleed immunity for my build, and so worth it.

i just lost 30% of level 96 to this buggy mess, those damn storms spawn in stupid places and block you off, then when you wait and make it through the gap losing half your health in the process, you get one shot the other side . then after all that and you actually start the fight there is so much crap on the floor to dodge its a nightmare as melee . dont think ill bother running him again this league ( last league was so much better)

It took me up to now to realize he had another tell before he teleports. He always turns to face his destination before blinking. I went the entire fight without dying to his laser barrage because I was able to tell which direction he was heading.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. |

Ok, so the only problem I have with this fight is the teleport after everlasting fire. HE FUCKING MOVES OUT OF CAMERA. I have no clue where he is and then I get hit by die beam cause I can't locate the fucking boss. I'm by no means a great a player, but having a boss that is constantly teleporting off screen is just shit design.
