well, it's over. it was good game, but then they broke my will by this terrible torturing fight. i just cant't win, i just't can't see what's going on. playing melee buiid i just dont know where to run while all my screen is covered in red and black explosives and rays and clouds, but if i occasionally find him and draw close he dissapears and one shots from offscreen. i tried 3 times and couldn't. he beat me, i'm defeted. it's time to move on. thank you ggg, it was nice game, nice 2K hours of gameplay except couple spent on my pity attempts to defeat what you have created. i quit. uninstalled. farewell.

Honestly if you've actively played 2000 hours and can't tell what's happening in this fight even after trying several times, watching some streamers, and looking at a mechanics guide or two, you might be better off finding a different game. Everything damaging in this fight is either very red or very black, and the arena floor is a sort of light grey stone color. The Uber Elder grey poop on a grey floor is way harder to notice than anything in this fight and everyone seems pretty ok with it.

Alternatively, since you've played thousands of hours, spend one more day to level any non-melee character. It's not that melee can't beat him, you just have to actually understand the mechanics to beat him with the added positional requirement of being in melee range for the last phase. Play basically anything else while you get used to the visual/audio queues and get a feel for the flow of the fight. Or, if you're just frustrated about missing the actual kill/rewards, see if you can find a reputable streamer online to rescue runs you've blown most of the portals on while practicing. Most of them can easily salvage it deathless even if you just lay dead on the floor doubling his health. Then, you can still practice the fight without missing out on the loot drops and story completion in the meantime.

actually respawning the b***h takes way too long. ground effects can be easily spotted, but the fucking walls in the labyrinth is almost the same dark color of the ground. Horribly designed.
So after getting crushed the first time (and complaining on this thread!) I read a bit more, mostly about how to get him to spawn quickly and avoid the clouds. So twice I managed to get him to phase 4 deathless, and then got crushed. Too much going on, kept getting lost and hit by the big beams. Happy to say this last time I finally beat him!

Not sure if a patch changed anything, or if it helped that I unsocketed every orb before spawning the portals, or that I had improved my DPS slightly, or just I had done it a few times and felt better about it, but totally wasn't that bad this time (still died three times, though once was me being dump and charging into a cloud trying to dodge a beam.

Just to say for those who found it crushingly hard, it can be done, even if you're terrible like me.
same, OP

hope next league has slower time to kill so fights are more fun

First, I do want to say congrats on finally beating him. Good job! Beating him on ANY awakening level is an achievement, I don't care what anyone says about that. lol

I will say though, unsocketing the orbs took his difficulty way down. That helped you probably more than anything else. This fight, especially at Awakening level 8, is just absolutely horrid. lol

I did speak with a friend of mine though, after my posts I've got on here too about this fight, and he really did explain it to me in a way that made me keep trying and now I have finally beat Sirus 8 4 times in a row and 2 of those were deathless. You have to think about Sirus at awakening level 5-7 as "normal", and then Sirus at 8 as "Uber Sirus". He's gonna be harder, his mechanics are gonna be harder to navigate and although the red on black isn't great, it is still doable. You just have to be extremely careful. As I have a melee build doing this, I would just avoid trying to fight him while the spinning beams were there and just jump them until they went away. Once they were gone, I went back to fighting him. I don't know how well this could be done on a build that isn't already using a Saviour, as I have one so my clones can keep DPSing him while I can't, but for those still having issues with the beams, maybe try that route, if you haven't already. That's the only tip I can really give as that's what ended up working for me. :)
Upped my chaos res, upped my dps, added leech, slightly increased my life pool at a slight expense to my mana pool, removed all watchstones.

Deaths:
1: Sirus monologues through an audio cue and the falling star minefield nearly instantly kills me.
2: I dps him down a bit before he launches into the sky directly above me. A degen pool appears underneath my feet and I instantly die.
3: Sirus again monologues through an audio cue and the falling star minefield instantly kills me again.
4: I get a little too close to a degen storm avoiding a starfield and it slows me. I'm too slow to avoid the exploding flame jets that appear under my feet.
5: After standing around for several minutes waiting for the roaming degen storms to clear & give me a path back to the arena, I flame dash through a narrow gap right into more exploding flame jets. They combine with a falling star minefield to take me out.
6: I actually get back to the arena and dps him down a bit, only to double flame dash bug into a degen storm and die.

The only other boss fight in the game I've had this much trouble with was a bugged out lightning Elder guardian that turned invisible and the bleed snake way back in Invasion that kept chasing me down on Tidal Island and made me quit the game for 6 months.

I'm out. Again. One of these times is going to be the last.
The biggest problem isn't the mechanics. You can learn how to deal with them.

But having to run 20-30 maps to fight him again is really disgusting.
Well... Sirus is a fight I have to do just to get the conquerors back on the map. The rest of the time I ignore his existence. Tried him on awakener level 8 about 15 times, just finished last try with about 5% HP of him left, but never beat him. Happy that I made it somehow on my first encounter this league.

Everything before final phase is fine, if I die there it’s just lack of concentration or just being stupid. Whatever…

But last phase is like… THE VOID… DIE… ok, resurrect me please so that can die some more times to stuff that comes from wherever by a boss that I can’t even see.

And so I have no minions or totems or whatever that automatically can attack him I’m just fucked up. And even if ignore him the rest of the time it’s just frustrating when I have to do that fight. Takes really long to get him spawned and then it ends up in a big massacre every time...

If that’s the future for the game, then do it like this. But for me that’s not what I call fun and I'm really that crazy that I play a game to have fun...

Interesting part is no other boss had so much response from community. I dont remember similar threads about Atziri, Elder, Shaper, etc.
Kosis on Wave 20 Simulacrum with difficult mods is beginning to grab some attention on these forums lately.
Still not in numbers similar to Sirius. But they both have something incommon - both are kinda fresh and both are kinda "crappy design". Based on feedback.
