Sirus fight is making me quit POE

The fight is garbage, getting to the fight is garbage, and the experience is garbage. I'm very certain many people will quit because of how bad this fight is. I've been playing this season with a friend. I'm running a home brew Holy Flame Totem build and my friend is running a completely broken Necro build where they just run around in a circle and the minions kill the boss. My totem build is similar with not quite as good survive-ability and not even close to as good damage.

Me and my buddy have both beaten Sirus up to level 6 now and haven't gotten any Watchstones to drop in a while (buddy is considering quitting because the lack of progression). With my totem build I can kill him about 50% of the time. My only deaths coming in the last phase where he literally kills me when he says "die" unless I time an actual perfect Flame Dash or I get lucky (and yes I'm running in a circle always perpendicular with him for the most optimal dodge chance). The first half of the fight is a total fucking joke, but nothing is as infuriating as the random unavoidable one shots. The summoner build is sitting at 9-10k effective HP while my totem build is at 7500.

I also get a death every now and then just running back after a death and storms close in on me or I can't even see the boss yet in the final phase and he 1 shots me running back to him before he is even on my screen.

work on your gears and build. its terrble.
sirus fight is easy and if you are dying to his beam, well its mostly comes from lack of experience. kill him 30+ and youll know.

i kill him with my sub character , deathless easily. youll be able to do it deathless eventually.

Just cleared Sirus on Awakener Level 8 with the terrible gear and build you were talking about. I changed nothing about how I do the fight, and timed the Flame Dashes perfectly like I said which was all that was required. Perhaps the times I'm dying is to bad latency or fps lag (my comp is not amazing and I'm sharing internet with literally 4 different computers/streaming televisions). Only died twice and it was to the beam everyone talks about. I could care less about a deathless run to be honest, and I could also care less about getting any piece in my build that costs as much as your 25ex chest piece (at least that it's valued at when I checked). I don't have time to play as much as some people.

I don't care for the fight either. I killed him today on awakening 8 and it took way way too long...

And he dropped garbage. Which just added insult to injury.

This game is balanced around players who must do nothing but play PoE day and night with hundreds of exalts to spend. That's all I can think. That or there are just a few very unbalanced builds out there capable of doing ridiculous amounts of damage that the developers unwisely balance the game around instead of just nerfing them. But what ever it is, this game has serious balance problems that need to be addressed.

I do prefer the current endgame system to the last though. The different regions work better in my opinion then trying to connect the influence portions of the map. They just went overboard with their bosses.

Honestly if you fight him on the highest level with a char that's lacking DPS then you have no place to complain that the fight takes too long. The game has to build a bridge between casuals who play 5 hours a week and no life streamers who play the game for a living. That bridge will never be perfect but it's pretty decent as it is, if you don't have the gear/build to comfortably deal with AL8 Sirus, then fight him on AL 0, or 5 or whatever suits you. If they adjust all the content so that every 5 hour casual with his 500k dps char can beat AL8 Sirus in 5 seconds then what's left there for the people who are invested in the game?

And for the record, I am playing for 1-2 hours at most per day and I guess my fight with AL8 Sirus takes like 10-15 minutes but that's my choice. I could just do him on a lower level if I wanted to.

as a new player this league im not finding it all that hard with the sirus fight sure took me a try to get the hang of the fight, not much you can do about the off screen death beams but it happens should be fixed tbf but thats up to GGG, if your struggling with sirus my suggestion to you is to make a char that is specific to bossing and have another that you use for mapping and for blighted maps that best thing about PoE is that you dont have to stick to one class type im not saying you play one and only one character class build, multiple characters = PROFIT :).
Another patch with nothing being done to this travesty.
Today tried this for the first time.
1. During daylight, especially sunny, player can see shit.
2. Most unpleasnt fight so far. At least to me. Very frustrating. No other challange i faced was this frustrating. Yeah i know i dont have many of those but still.
3. Garbage story design - "I will destroy Oriath!" I go to stop him, i faild, Oriath is still here like nothing happened. Bad design.

I dont like it. Probably will try it but wont aim at it. Fck it.
the new atlas endgame is all garbage.
first. the 4 guardians. lets compare them to the shaper guardians. and to elder guardians. it is fair to compare them as ads to already existing content, as such they are absolute pushovers. i die to stupid crap all the time. my atlas is at awakener lvl 8 and i have done maybe 50+ of these fights?

i have had a total of 2 deaths. 2. i died once to the banner guy and once to hunter after he summoned snakes. their rewards are utter garbage too.

sirus fight sucks. my main issue is most of his time is spent floating off screen and i often lose sight of him and to get to him i have to go between 2 clouds that are clsoe together so i always fear dying to the clouds.

he is tedious. boring. grossly unrewarding. the first time i beat shaper it felt exhilarating. the first time i beat uber elder i think i squealed with joy. beating sirus.... gives me a relief that i can resume trying to farm guardians again.....that is pathetic. the least exciting or rewarding end game boss ever. utter waste of pixels.
Shitysushi - Arrow shooting build.
Sendeliriante - hollow palmer
Sirus fight is the worsted in PoE history. You fight with the terrain not with Sirus. Most of time you even don't see him, but you surely die at once.
I have killed Sirus several times. I say to other players who haven't kill Sirus. IT'S WASTE OF TIME. I bye pass portals with new map.
Just died to sirus when he summon the red storm under his foot and kill me instantly.

Omg, the red black storm plus the similar color ground and the similar color boss...this seriously hurts my eyes.

Enjoy Delirium where everything is grey ... on grey, under other layers of grey maybe ?
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Well if GGG wants every casual person to quit the game consider this boss fight a complete success. Complete waste of time. T16 maps are a joke compared to the ENVIRONMENT of this fight. That's a great idea lets create a boss fight where the boss doesn't kill the players, let the Environment kill people!
100% agree, can't count how many I died in this shit nadoes when I try to dodge something during fight.

What I noticed last 2 fights since last update:
- shit-nadoes are broken again (if we can say that they ever worked...) and act wery wierd
- sirus and his 4 friends gets ninja buffed

Yea. It very bad for rangers that cant tank like melee and need the space to evade. The storm is shit.

Rangers envying melees ? is that a joke ? Oo

Sirus is so much easier if you can just shoot him without closing much of a gap ... if you cannot dodge without ending up in a storm, outside of some rare weird maze placement ... you are probably just doing something wrong mechanically.
