Sirus fight is making me quit POE

The Sirus fight in itself is a little bit stupid. Any fight that requires you to literally stand still and WAIT for the boss to stop being invincible is a bit stupid.

Once the mechanics are clear though, it is a fight that feels rewarding to win.

The last two times I've had Sirus my game flips out, and I [seriously] randomly die with my character still running in place. So for that reason, yeah this boss feels a little bit impossible ;)

Died sadly 6 times in a row to the offscreen laser. On a Level 5 Sirus. 12.5k EHP, well rolled Utility Flasks and a huge amount of regeneration/Defenses*.

Against the laser, a lvl 20 Cwdt + molten shell/IC/steelskin (dending on your character) works wonder against the die beam.

I don't know how much damage A5 Sirus does, but if you have that extra buffer/mitigation, you might survive it ?

I've never gotten off screened by the laser, and here's the secret. He stays in the circle he creates

If you have a secret trick to go instantly from the arena's door to the 'circle he creates', feel free to share with all those people getting offscreened again and again lol, because I believe that's what most of the complaints are about.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

I dunno, I've died plenty of times and he's never shot a beam at me before I got within a screen's distance of him. So nah, no trick there. If that's a bug though, they need to fix it REAL fast.

Well if GGG wants every casual person to quit the game consider this boss fight a complete success. Complete waste of time. T16 maps are a joke compared to the ENVIRONMENT of this fight. That's a great idea lets create a boss fight where the boss doesn't kill the players, let the Environment kill people!
100% agree, can't count how many I died in this shit nadoes when I try to dodge something during fight.

What I noticed last 2 fights since last update:
- shit-nadoes are broken again (if we can say that they ever worked...) and act wery wierd
- sirus and his 4 friends gets ninja buffed

Twice now, I've managed to summon Sirus, which is beyond annoying in how much RNG is required in of itself. I get to the fight, and its a giant cluster. I try to lure the storms away, to finally have a path to Sirus, for me to TOUCH one for half a second and instantly lose almost all of my HP. I lose the rest of my remaining HP touching a barely visible patch of ground. I have 5k HP, 2.5k MP MoM, 1K ES, so around 8.5k EHP. I die before even seeing The boss fight. I lose to the freaking environment. Ive used 12 portals trying to see what the hell the fight even is. I"ve watched videos, but i cant even get to the damn fight. I"ve played plenty, but my lord the environment fight is making me done with the game. I clear t16 just fine, my damage is fine, but the endgame boss is unplayable. Good Game.....

I don't care for the fight either. I killed him today on awakening 8 and it took way way too long...

And he dropped garbage. Which just added insult to injury.

This game is balanced around players who must do nothing but play PoE day and night with hundreds of exalts to spend. That's all I can think. That or there are just a few very unbalanced builds out there capable of doing ridiculous amounts of damage that the developers unwisely balance the game around instead of just nerfing them. But what ever it is, this game has serious balance problems that need to be addressed.

I do prefer the current endgame system to the last though. The different regions work better in my opinion then trying to connect the influence portions of the map. They just went overboard with their bosses.

Honestly if you fight him on the highest level with a char that's lacking DPS then you have no place to complain that the fight takes too long. The game has to build a bridge between casuals who play 5 hours a week and no life streamers who play the game for a living. That bridge will never be perfect but it's pretty decent as it is, if you don't have the gear/build to comfortably deal with AL8 Sirus, then fight him on AL 0, or 5 or whatever suits you. If they adjust all the content so that every 5 hour casual with his 500k dps char can beat AL8 Sirus in 5 seconds then what's left there for the people who are invested in the game?

And for the record, I am playing for 1-2 hours at most per day and I guess my fight with AL8 Sirus takes like 10-15 minutes but that's my choice. I could just do him on a lower level if I wanted to.

I think its funny when people complain about how hard this fight is - it's one thing having issues with it on initial release - but compared to uber elder it's so basic once you learn the general dynamic.

That's not to say I love the fight, if anything it feels like an easier end game boss to make it more accessible to the player base. Having to wait for a storm to move so he drops down again is a bit tiresome, although perhaps they wanted a break between phases.
Yep, totally over league play.
The fight is "meh". It depends on your build, as we all know with the current meta in the game, some builds can melt everything from a 50c gear, others need minimum 10 ex investment to be able to do the same thing.

Other then that, the fight is at about shaper difficulty, it's nowhere near as hard as uber atziri or uber elder fight.

I died the first couple of times, till I learned what to do,where to go,what beams to evade when and so on. It's quite underwhelming actually, given that sirus should be the ultimate thing in this game, storywise in any case.

However farming sirus is beyond annoying, compared to shaper+red elder+uber elder farming in the old atlas.

The amount of rng reminds me more of asian mobile games, than an actual pc game. I expect GGG to introduce a pay to win mechanic, endorsed by tencent of course. Where you pay 5$ each league to have a guaranteed conqueror spawn after a couple of maps.

Spawning him is annoying, the loot is quite weak compared to elder drops in previous leagues. After doing about 20 to 100-150(or more) maps for a sirus spawn(depending on your luck as you can get a conqueror from a total of 3 maps or 50 maps),the entire thing is a huge disappointment.

The offscreen lasers are also driving me crazy. I don't even know where the heck Sirus is--he just kills me every time. And I also felt very demoralized. Died 5 times in a row from the offscreen laser and was really scratching my head.

The Sirus fight is very intense and dramatic which is awesome. But it needs some adjustment.

Exactly this. They have tuned the game for the streamers and to generate RIP clips of them. The 90%+ of the playerbase they have told to GFY.

Simply defeating Sirus isnt the same as pushing the endgame. A level 1 Sirus shouldnt present any greater challenge than the old white elder, but that's not the case with the fight where there are multiple instant death mechanics (which is an asinine design, I'd fire whoever OKed even letting that crap go live)

The "just practice/git good" crowd are also a critical problem with the game. They defend everything because they happily spend hours playing some halfassed economy sim, and think that's playing the game.

Everything gets boosted because they let totems, minions and traps/mines get way the hell out of control. And unfortunately, those types of things in any game tend to be either massively overpowered, or useless. And its pretty clear GGG is happy letting them be broken as hell, and destroy the game to let them remain that way.
